So my DMT journey started on May 4th 2016 backstage of an Iron Maiden concert, since then I've been cultivating acacia species non stop. At first I just wanted a single plant that I can call my own that'll commemorate my experince I had with DMT that night, instead I quickly acquired a wide range of seeds/plants and gained a new hobby that started taking up much of my spare time.

I worked as a tradesman most of my life until 20+ years of shitty posture, 15 years of rugby league, 10+ years of manual labour and an awfully large bong rip all come together one afternoon and I herniated and buldged discs in my neck. Since then I've gone all in on a new career in science and currently working through a degree in microbiology.

DMT nexus has always been a fantastic source for information for me over the years and now it's my turn to contribute through a wide range of experiments I've been wanting to do for a long time now but haven't had the expertise and/or material until now.

Here's some of activities and experiments I'll sharing with you all in the near future.

1. A huge range of different acacia cultivation experiments from tissue culture, cross breeding, grafting, cloning etc.

2. Lot's of alkaloid analysis of different acacia species and experiments from simple a/b extracts to UV spectroscopy.

3. Experiments using different endophytic fungal and bacteria species and it's impact on alkaloids

4. Documenting the conservation work I'm doing with rare/endangered acacia species.

5. Mad scientist bullshit like building a dmt Christmas tree. (A single tree that consists of at least 3 different speices spliced together 😂Pleased

Looking forward to contributing as much as I can!

Hey there, that's quite the introduction, both for you and for us Laughing

We very much look forward to hearing more of your research.

Welcome to the Nexus!

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

All of that sounds very cool (except the herniated and bulged discs in your neck).

What made you decide on microbiology?

Welcome welcome!

that sounds like a great set of interests and skills for the nexus..
and oh yes, Iron Maiden..the band famous for the song 22 Acacia Avenue Smile

it would be great to hear of some of your experimental results and other endeavours, and i'm sure you will then quickly be promoted by nexians to post in all areas

mycelium1,

Welcome to the Nexus. I'm sorry it has been a hard road to get here but I really love how that first DMT experience led you into hardcore horticulture and analysis. I hope the DMT Christmas tree idea works out and I know everyone would be excited to hear the results of your experiments and see pictures of your garden.

I'm glad you found us. Again, welcome.
