Hello 👋. I have been lurking for awhile now. I found the Spiritveggie tek a few weeks back and I am getting around to being ready to plunge in head first.

I figured I might as well create an introduction essay and formally become part of this great community. During college I cultivated shrooms and experienced them for the first time. I did for fun and I don't remember much except flying through space. I did try LSD once, but my setting was awful with people who weren't really my friends and they just wanted to trip balls.

Fast forward 15 years, I now look at psychedelics for their medicinal value and have great respect for them. I have been going through mental anguish the past few years and feel I am finally coming into my own. I look forward to my first DMT experience. I don't expect this to be a magic bullet, but I am excited for the experience non the less.

I had no idea there was more that one could do without the need of traveling to a shaman in South America. I still have so much to learn. Thanks for having me here.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

lunar-context,

Welcome to the Nexus. I am so glad you found us and decided to sign up. You sound like you are in a decent place to explore the DMT realms. You have gained some years, experience and maturity of perspective.

Though you mention mental anguish. I would counsel caution. DMT is very powerful medicine and if you are not ready to face that head on and in an amped up, in your face kind of way, DMT may not be the answer.

There are no guarantees, just surprises and more questions.

I would recommend getting a good mg scale, starting with a low dose and if you like it slowly titrating up, a few mgs at a time.

I look forward to hearing more from you and again offer you a warm welcome. Smile
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Welcome!!!! Laughing

Approaching psychedelics with a respectful and healing attitude definitely, in my opinion, gives a much different result than "lol I just wanna trip balls".

&& I second Pandora on taking it slow :3

You never know! Your mental anguish might fully melt away with one snap realization OR it might unfold, open up, and show you all the things you've been tucking away.
