I know that fumarate is not good to smoke but what about mixing it with pg/vg for vaping the as ecig? In theory should be less harsh and more durable

I haven't tried this myself yet, but from listening to others, it seems that benzoate or citrate are the best candidates so far. And apparently they dissolve much better in PG than VG.
