Update...7/17/2023

Swim trys again ... using only electric E MESH HEAT.. wattage raised from 65 watts...to 68.. watts and found it cleanly vaped over 2 thirds of the product in bowl on first hit!

WOW!..using an electric E MESH mod..swim got very thick convection vapor!.nothing burnt!.. it worked super!... just by adding 3 watts to the vaporizer...

Everyone may not experiance the same performance as swim did.. ...it all depends on how much outside air is getting into your bowl...if your getting too much air into the bowl...you have to try different wattages...its trial and error untill you find the right air/heat/combo...


Again..[using ..crystals/oil/or wax]..... if you can ..seal out.. all extra outside air.. from entering the bowl...and just get air from the tiny air holes built in to mod top cap....its posible to get great convection vapor at a MUCH LOWER wattage...probibly around 35 to 40 watts...

But..Because a fair amount of extra air was still getting into the vape mixture.... Swim countered this problem by raising the wattage untill the sweet spot was found.....

this time swim was really impressed by the ..tastless..super thick... potent...convection vapor!

Swim suspected these temps might too high?...but suprisingly swim found At 70 and 72 watts... every trace of product! vaporized in the bowl! ...[produced high speed convection vapor!]...and produced a superior buzz..it brought on the light of day!
NOTHING BURNT!!!
so.. adjusting the temperature even higher...[to a point]... high speed application of hot air only.. convection can perform as well as ... high speed conduction...and much much cleaner without burning or waste..

dont believe Swim needs to go any hotter!





please Note ...that most portable convection vaporizers ...on the market today...are in fact hybrid!!, with only a few exceptions. That's because ... true convection ...requires transferring hot air through the chamber, and only a few portable vaporizers will not directly heat up the chamber to speed up the process.Jun 1, 2023

swim dared .. jumping from 72 watts to.. 80 watts]].. on a hunch that it might be a better vaping temp for his perticular pipe...
So swim loaded barely...10 ..0r 12mgs of light... into the glass bowl...set at 80 watts..hit fire button../counted 3-4...seconds then still holding fire button down..[[took a hit]....OMG!!
Man ..did the ..convection vapor.. turn white!...and super Thick!! [simmilar to conduction]
The vapor was almost scarey...it was so quick acting !! barely had time.. to set the pipe and mod on the table and then recline ... ... and later noticed there is still some unvaped light left in bowl!

this attempt vaporized a hole through the middle of the product..still leaving a doughnut of unvaped product left in bowl...for later..

convection is economy vaping... everything is vaped cleanly..nothing wasted or burnt.

And this vapor.... was tastless and clean..
Since this was only a test...swim did not hold in the vapor for..more than 3 seconds...Now swim knows the sweet spot for his pipe...
next time when in the right mood...set and setting ...and rue tea first...then the light...

i have long wondered why there hasn't been an electronic adapter for the gvg.

when done properly, as starway7 said, its a breath of fresh air. by the time you put it down youre gone.

i suggest using the mesh pads already sold by the vapor genie company, which were better than the chore boy pads people had been suggesting here and almost surely inspired by posts on the nexus. at least its nice to think so. maybe more likely is they were copying the volcano's mesh pads.

kinda funny to be back at the point where the best option is simply using a device similar to the gvg with the emesh attached and the next step being to adapt the e-mesh to the gvg.....

if anyone has the ability to try this out, here's an idea.... heat the ceramic insert. maybe a coil could be wound around the outside? not sure how this could be done, or if it would be practical to meet the requirements of an 'upgrade' outlined here.

think using the electronic E mesh ..as a heater only.. should work well with the .. vapor Geni..

I would use two layers... [or more]..of fairly fine screen to prevent drip down of product ..instead of a thicker mesh pad...

the glass shurlock should work great! ...as long as the bowl is not metal [so it wont short out the E mesh] ..and it should be easy to get quality convection vapor!

just dont let the glowing mesh touch the product.[only hot air] does the trick!.

fumes and combusted flame .. is not healthy...

....In photos below.... i tryed raising the wattage in my origional convection vape ...in past..I never went much higher than 55 watts,,, but found 70 and 75 watts on my older origional vape pulls thick thick! .. .convection vapor... so fast!
Its very close to the speed of the origional conduction E Mesh vape of the past!
only you get convection vapor!

I dont think any fancy electronic product on the market.. can beat this vaporizer for performance....when using... crystals/ waxes/ or oils!
it gives [true convection vapor]...
when wattage is set right..it pulls..a giant cloud... . of thick convection vapor very fast... and thats using pure product only ... [no cloud boosting e juice used] .. ..[just pure crystal]
..no messing around with hybred heating chambers..and little spinning balls..
Its simple and effective!

I found these pictures below ..[on line] ..of ...product stored as a tincture for months.. after the alcohol has been fan evaporated away..

It reads...After the grain alcohol has been removed...it left an amber semi clear glaze .. that after 12 hours of drying more... you see the crystals popping up everywhere... and this will continue to happen until the whole area of the glaze is covered with crystals...

some oxadation happened from long storage in tincture at room temperature...

I guess someone wanted to be able to weigh the product more correctly instead of counting drops of tincture and guessing at the weight...

first one with dish upside down...the second photo dish is upright...

the crystals are actually above the surface of the glaze and in 3rd picture down ..you see how they reflect the bright flash of a camera very well ....like diamonds!!...

in pictures 5 and 6 further drying has almost covered the whole area with over laping crystal patterns...they are taking on a golden color...

It reads..Once nice and dry...with all the alcohol gone...it smells clean...and it maintains an easy to scrape up waxy structure easy to pick up and weigh dosage...

remember this ..product has been desolved in grain alcohol.. and stored for months ..only to be

reborn as crystals again .... by... removing the grain alcohol...

NEW vape TESTING using a ceramic health stone ........pictures coming later !!

AS The chapter reads about a new test using ...ceramic vape disc!

Swim tryed another new heating route and tryed using ...ceramic stone.. to heat waxy crystals...

This time swim used a ...ceramic heating disc as heater ... and heated the disc with a blue butane flame..then compleatly removed the lighter.... and took a hit.. using the heat stored in the ceramic disc...it vaporized the product extreemly cleanly!

using glass water pipe in photo below..Swim placed the disc on top of glass bowl after shaping the sides of the disc [with file] to fit half way down into the bowl sitting almost.... a half inch!!... above the product!.. then heated the disc with butane lighter about 30 seconds..

The disc was heated once more for about 30 seconds..then swim took a long slow hit..swim noticed a purity never before experianced and gentle but strong product effect...

Swim knew air would not go through the disc... but it was pulled in around the outside edges of the disc.. and the vapor taste ...was super clean!! different than ever experianced before..it was super light and the effects were surprisingly STRONG!!



The vapor experianced was the cleanest swim ever experianced...

The potency from ...only...[ 7 or less miligrams!]... of product.. felt more like 25 mgs of product..it was so potent it was almost scarey!

When swim felt the fast effects .. they were surprizingly strong!... but gentle ..swim almost didnt make it to the couch as he felt he was floating away..

This was...7 or less mgs...of pure product only //no rue used...

Had 20 or 30 mgs been used it might have been a breakthrough.../

Swim thought those waxy crystals were not that pure. ....now after vaping them with the ceramic disc ..they seemed VERY PURE!

Swim found that the the ceramic disc has the ability to heat up very fast and store a lot of clean heat! ..as a test...using a wireless thermomiter 25 seconds of heating with a butane lighter brought the temperature of the disc from room temp 70 degrees...up to near 400 degrees and it held the temperature longer than other materials ...like many metals...

CAUTION!...Anyone who tryes to use a ceramic vape disc to vape ..crystals/waxes/or oils... would be smart to LOWER!!..their dosages!!... down to 10 mgs or less... on first try... or ..for some.. the intensity might be higher than expected!

The vapor purity from vaping using this ceramic material... seems surprisingly STRONG!!

I didnt really expect such a strong effect 7 or less mgs ...im still reeling from the surprise!

It seemed the clean hot air from the ceramic may be more gentle on the molecule and it wastes nothing!!



Ceramic discs used for vaping are not exactly new...but i think most used the ceramic discs [in past].. more in a conduction way..im using it for convection vaping....


Finding the ceramic discs ability to heat up fast and hold clean heat exceptional..it may even be possibile to vaporize herbs...this idea..needs to be tested...

i had the ceramic as high as 612 degrees at one point after about 25 seconds holding lighter on disc..Far more heat than is needed to vape most products !

Im finding it is very effective for convection vaping...photos comming....

In their video... they are using the stone in a [conduction] way...melting the butter on top of the hot stone..

The only difference...was,,I used the stone in a [convection] way.. and i suspect that the convection method produces superior results...only the heat from the stone sitting 1/2 inch above the product...was pulled through the product!..product never touched the hot stone or flame!...
