Another device review.

I got lucky and scored the Puffco Proxy. I used to use the Divine Tribe V4 crucible (which I'll never get rid of), but I think I like the Proxy more.

There are four temperature settings.
Blue-505f
Green-520f
Red-545f
White-565f

I've found the white setting to be my preferred setting.

No flame is needed and the chamber is completely closed, so this can be a good device for strong breakthroughs without safety concerns from the device itself (like concerns over dropping a bong, or burning oneself with a torch lighter, etc.) It's also extremely easy to clean.

Puffco makes some great products. I've had a Puffco Peak for years and love it. Great for Cannabis concentrates. I even dab pure CBD and CBG extracts from it when I don't want to get "high" but need to control muscle pain and discomfort. I forget the exact 4 temps the Peak works at but believe they are lower temps than the Proxy, so probably the Peak is not great for FB or Changa. I have heard that there is a heating element one can get for the Peak that ramps up the temps to make FB and Change use possible, but I've never really looked into it. The Proxy looks interesting. One more tool in the toolbox.

Around 320 is ideal temp.. looks like this device is way over that.

Same same but different problem, I emailed them and asked if it was software issue but they never got back to me.

It has yet to burn a y DMT for me, even at its highest setting.

wow. this looks really great. it would be nice to get a better idea of how it works. is it truly convection only? does it one hit consistently and easily? have you given it to anyone who is inexperienced to try? does it meet these requirements?

probably an instant buy if it does really work as described.

Always wanted a proxy, but tried a dry dab through a water rig and did not enjoy so decided not gonna risk 300 bucks on not liking it. but maybe it’s different with a correctly shaped pipe.

I have wondered about the “temp”. First, who knows what is being measured - it’s not the temp of your dmt anyway. It seems to me, if the heat up is slow, then something as small as 25mg could vaporize fully as the bowl heats. long as it’s vapor before the bowl gets hotter, nothing to burn? or maybe I have that wrong.

All the devices emphasize how fast they heat, but not sure that’s always an advantage.

Apologies, I've been meaning to provide an update.

So, it gets you to where you're going but not very efficiently. When doing 10mg in the past few years, I always get some degree of visuals and can definitely be "somewhere else." However, with the proxy that was not the case. Every journey (even the final ones which were set at the highest temp and boost mode was initiated) provided no visuals, but other effects such augmentation of mental space and body load.

I ended up pulling out my Divine Tribe V4 crucible to see if maybe somehow 10mg wasn't getting me as far as I used to. The crucible provided what was expected for the dose (and it was a pretty fun journey). It checks most of the boxes on that thread, but again, isn't the most efficient.

I would not recommend unless in some sort of pinch.
