I have been doing psychedelics since 2000s, using LSD and Psilocybin recreationally. In later years, getting involved in the psychedelic trance scene, I have gotten more involved in ceremonial psychedelic experiences.

I have found the psychedelics as a healing and better understanding of my higher self. I have always been questioning the status quo and this has helped me a lot with not just excepting without questioning.

I am super excited to join this platform in order to share my experiences and also to ask questions of which I do not have the answers.

My reason for joining this platform is that I was looking for an answer after my first DMT freebase experience. I cannot remember much and was curious on why this happened. Did I take too much? Is there something my subconscious is supressing so much that I cannot remember?

My psychedelic experiences so far includes:
LSD
Psilocybin
Changa
Ayahuasca
DMT Freebase

twistoffate,

Welcome to the Nexus. I really enjoyed your introduction essay and think you are going to fit in here quite nicely.

A lot of people who use the spice at higher doses or who breakthrough or go beyond the breakthrough either blackout or cannot remember what happened.

The above is a simple fact but I would also say be easy on yourself because even at lower doses I've noticed a lot of people have trouble bringing memories back. I know Rick Strassman suggested it might be something like state specific, like you're going to remember it all on the next come up or something like that.

I was one of the lucky ones and was able to bring coherent memory back. What worked for me was sacrificing a little bit of the pleasure of the comedown to work to actively consolidate memories. Review my memory and maybe even speak it out loud of what just happened and then repeat to help to set it in.

When the paralysis breaks that's when I start to write.

That worked for me but I do not know what would work for you. I would suggest doing a little bit of experimenting. If you choose to do so I would love to hear the results.

Welcome. As Pandora stated, I think you'll fit in here as well.

Psychedelics played a large roll in my ability to combine a general sense of skepticism with my own critical thinking. The two go hand in hand. Being open minded and being able to think critically can open many doorways not just in the psychedelic ream, but in the real world, and is thus beneficial to your own life.

When I was younger, say from 2001-2011 I was very interested in psychedelics. I went to great lengths to experience my first mushroom trip by trespassing in a cow field to pick my own cubensis, which is retrospect, was very dangerous as a property owner could have shot me! My point is, I made a conscious effort to seek out an altered state of consciousness, and I certainly wasn't the first person to feel that way.

I took a long break, but recently tried DMT and came here to this site to learn about DMT. I was able to learn a lot about myself until inevitably and eventually, I ran out of DMT. That was 2019.

I came back a few months ago to learn extraction, and now I have a lifetime supply. My next step is to take a breakthrough dose, as I've been having a difficult time getting their efficiently, so I am working on an eMesh build.

Pandora is right. It's like coming out of a dream. If you don't record your experiences in a timely fashion, you'll lose the specifics quite rapidly. This can be difficult, as often times you won't realize how impactful your experience was until a week later upon recollecting a memory.

Practice waking up and writing down your dreams sometime. I keep a dream book, and when I re-read it, I go "Oh yeah I remember that!". If I take more than 5 minutes to get to my dream book, the memories literally melt away. So keep a piece of paper next to your bed, wake up, start writing.

Same works in the comedown phase of DMT.

Sorry for the rant, good luck, and welcome!

Also, stop by the chat sometime.

Thank you both for you input. I have done another ceremony this past Friday. I opted to take lower dosages. First just a smallish puff which sent me into the journey which was easy. The second one I also only took a single hit, but a BIG one and that seems to have yielded much better results.

Just feel that I have to add that in both ceremonies I had a shot of Syrian Rue. I had a chat to the facilitator and said that for the next time, I would like to do it without taking the Syrian Rue.

Also I remember much more of the experience although it was not profound or life changing it still was very visual.

One realization I had was that it seems to be sending me into a groaning chant, I remember this specifically as I thought to myself, this is exactly the same thing that happened to me the first time.

Will see what the future brings.

Thank you for your input.

Hi twistoffate and welcome to the Nexus.

As awesome as smoking dmt is I always suggest people also make time to do ayahuasca or pharmahuasca because the experience can moreso be integrated as it happens.

Hi abercedarian, I have done some ayahuasca. The one being a whole weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), but I find it hard to "go in" I am distracted easily. Also I really only ended up going in a little on the 3rd day. And this is drinking around 4 cups.

I grabbed this from another introduction post. I worry heavily about this. Will try and put it out of my mind in future.

Also make sure if you are laying down to have your head elevated a bit like you're slouching.
