Unfortunately I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post in, i thought about posting in saftey but decided general discussion would be best. if i'm wrong please move me!

On to buisiness,
I am a curious sort of person, always curious about new enviroments, settings, moods, times, etc, etc. as of recent a friend of mine brought up the topic of "what would happen to you if something bad were to happen such as the house catching fire while you were out?" I gave this much thought and decided i was quite sure that i would be capable of moving if needed.

Well, although i thought i had worked through this thought, my next spice journey told me otherwise. about 1 minute into a great journey i felt an intense heat go throughout my body, my close eyes started flashing bright lights like i was in a strobed room, immedeiately i opened my eyes and pushed back with my chair to find the most amazing place around me! my room had transformed into a castle! i was still very nervous and concerned that i had set the house on fire somehow with my lighter. this gives me jitters just thinking about it!

This opened me to a whole new doorway, one i am getting concerned about traveling in. after coming back to the real world i decided to take a solid "breakthrough" dose and focus on the room about me. as shapes and items morphed around me i decided to stand up, staying close to the bed in case the spice overtook my body i looked around at the beauty i was seeing, it was the most amazing thing in the world!

A few days went by, and i had a horribly terrifying journey, i was trying to get a trip in before i had to go somewhere, something i had yet to do. a roomate decided to turn her stereo on quite loudly and was playing music that had many confusing points to it, as i was amidst a great journey i panicked. hearing unusual sounds scared me, i thought i was losing my mind! i jumped out of my bed and looked around the room, it was still in mid trip, maybe only 2 minutes in! i didnt realize how much time had truly past so thoughts of being trapped permamntly in this place ran through my head! i looked at the clock and told myself to relax, felt my pulse and it was beating faster than i could count, i laid back down and just wished it would pass over. it of course did and i took a break from spice for awhile.

NOW, onto the most recent journey and current thoughts. after realizing that i can function while amidst a great journey, i decided to try walking throughout my house and seeing what other great things were here. it was a wonderful time but as i was coming back off the spice, i noticed my hands were shaky, my eyes almost jittery and a slight pain in the back of my neck. this made me remember a part of the book "the spirit molecule" where a patients blood pressure rose to high levels and he claimed to have a pain in the back of his neck due to the high blood pressure. i took my pulse it it was surprisingly normal (72bpm) but i do not have a blood pressure cuff. should i invest in one? and has anyone else ever done the things i have been playing with? doing active things while on spice? i find it exhilirating and everything in the house to be breathtakingly beautiful! i would greatly enjoy doing it more often but am concerned about REAL health problems., Im in good health phyiscally, mid twenties and have no known health defects.

Please respond with your thoughts on the matter and i encourage you to try this experience if you feel comfortable with it! i feel as though it is stressing on the body though so BE CAUTIOUS!

I wouldn't worry about it personally. I have no intention of running out and buying pressure cuffs and the like for the simple reason that they will not be used. I have no interest in monitoring my vital signs while exploring entheogens and I'm not doing a hospital study, so there's no requirement that anyone else be monitoring them either, and im certainly not about to impose that upon myself. Honestly, Strassman himself acknowledges many of the potential negative effects/perceptions surrounding using such equipment while on dmt.

I don't mean to sound gung ho, or careless, or reckless, but if something were to happen to me on a spice trip (heart attack, lack of breathing, etc) that would be that. As of now, the eveidence points overwhelmingly to the molecule being incredibly safe, but there's always a chance something goes wrong. As much as the astronauts on any of the doomed NASA missions accepted the risks associated with spaceflight, I feel that I am accepting the risks when i use entheogens. While I do take safety precautions, there is only so much you can do, and I am not willing to sacrifice/diminish the experience by pulling myself out of it to monitor my physical well being when the overwhelming opinion is that my being should be relatively safe.

It is possible your mental focus on these issues is making them a significant part of your experiences, but that's just a random thought that isn't too relevant. But honestly, if your bp cuff reads very high for a couple experiences (heck, or even all of them) what are you gonna do? Your option is to keep going or stop, and that's a very personal choice...

As for stressing the body...life is stress, everything is stress. How do you think athletes build their endurance/muscles? They STRESS them...Stress is the condition that most effectively stimulates growth (everything from muscles, to ideas, to communities, to tumors).

Entheogenic exploration carries risks. When I decided to pursue this path, I made a choice and accepted those risks. I don't take unnecessary risks, but imo, life would be nothing if not for the risks we take. These are just my thoughts...we must remember that everything carries risk...

Part of my working with the spice involves synchronized and mirrored movements of my arms and legs.
I do a lot of moving, rolling, grunting, huffing, and attempted throat singing.

In the beginning I would do similar things, trying it during the day when I still had things to do, but I would always get distracted and nervous about what I still had to do.
So now I make sure I have a block of time devoted before I begin working.

The jittering could be spice telling you to sit back and let it do the work for you.
Your ego is attached to all the objects in your house. These are YOUR objects. One function of spice is detachment of the ego.
So when you are walking around, your ego is saying "this is ME, these are MY things" when spice is saying "detach from all of this illusion and return to mother earth"
Your ego begins to play games, through jitters and anxiety, trying to regain control of your thought space at any cost.
This could be one interpretation of the jitters after walking around.
For me, I like exploring AFTER the peak, realizing I am part of something much greater, then coming back to myself as an individual and realizing how surrounded I am by Love.

Medicines like mushrooms or LSD are better for journeying and exploring for me.
Spice sometimes requires your full attention and focus.

Thanks for your thoughts, i do think i am playing into it with the blood pressure concerns in my mind. I just need to get those thoughts out. and as far as being attached to the objects of my house i am not trying to see how the spice changed things of mine, i am trying to see what the spice has created for me to enjoy. the jitters are after the journey during the time where if i was closed eye detached from my body i would be just opening my eyes and taking that big breath of "wow" air in.

and i do agree that lsd and shrooms are better for exploring, i also want to explore what dmt has to offer in those scenarios though! and as far as contorting your body etc,. one of the most intriguing journeys i took was after i took in a good dose and then curled my body up into a tight ball and pulled the hood of my coat over my head!

i originally thought the same, but as long as you keep your eyes open as soon as you would be breaking through everything in the "real" world morphs and grabs your attention to the point that you cant do anything but look about in amazement. my original curiosity to move about was from the "what if" case, then that sparked the "what else is there" questions find its easiest to do it during the day, every open eye trip i've had successful has been around noon.
