Dunno if she's been mentioned, but Dessa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfZoQygZ_Io) is an amazing artist. The video I linked is a few minutes of singing, a few of spoken word, and then some really sick flows.

Some of these artists are great, just listened to canibus (his name stood out the most (no idea why Laughing :lolSmile) was taken aback. Also glad to see dead prez got a mention.

I do believe this idea of hating all mainstream music is wrong. Just because someone has succeeded doesn't mean we should stop supporting and enjoying their music. You should enjoy music because of the lyrics, beat, rhythm and general feeling the song gives you. This leads me on to another of my favourite artists Dan le Sac.
This song sums up alot of life rules that I try to follow. __Dan Le Sac VS Scroobious Pip - Thou Shalt always Kill__

"Thou Shalt not use poetry art or music to get into a girls Pants,
Use it to get into their brains."

Anyone whom enjoyed the above link might also enjoy __Dan Le Sac VS Scroobious Pip - A letter from God to man__ Its about the corruption of religion and how it is used as a "tool for all the weak to control the strong."
People spend their lives searching for perfect moments and fail to see, that there are many unappreciated perfect moments everyday that are overlooked.

Great stuff, thanks for introducing me to K-OS, K'naan, and the others. For me good hip-hop brings to life some of the beauty of Africa and its rich cultural roots; there's such a strong connection between the two. I'm surprised no one linked any of Zion I's amazing work, lots of good positive messages here with great word-play.

I just don't like the genre in general, but I like Cinematic Orchestra, Galactic, Gorillaz, and the likes of. Hip-hop with jazz, rock, or worldly influences tend to get me interested. So no, Real Proper Hip-hop gets a big NO from me.

Posts made by me are either fictional or false, or both. I do not endorse, condone or engage in illegal activities. I love the state, my big brother. "I" myself am fictional. I am a collection of individuals, that are not entirely human. "I" do not exist in reality. Any resemblance to an individual bound by laws is merely coincidental. I lie and tell very little of the truth; do not believe me, and, especially, don't hold "me" accountable for any posts.
