I've come to share my perspective on the nature of reality and to learn from others. I've been exploring altered states for over 30 years and have been mostly a lurker the entire time. I feel like now is the time to share and interact.
Thanks to all who have created this community and for all of the accumulated wisdom. It is nice to have somewhere to go to see what is happening on the leading edge of consciousness.
The main thing that prompted me to join is a recent hyperspace journey. I've had hundreds of experiences, but this one was different and so profound I can't keep it to myself. Also, after researching, I've not found a similar experience reported. I've written a report, but I'd like to add more to it before posting it here.
I hope my introduction essay pleases the hyperspace entities.

Thanks for the welcome. Just curious if anyone here has had what I consider to be an atypical DMT experience where instead of a world of color opening up to a beautiful kaleidoscopic vision, things turn black/white/gray and then dissolve away into nothing? Also reached a point where time stopped. There was no longer any flow of perception. Not the most pleasant, I might add!

I'm still amazed how the molecule can open up experiences and states of mind I haven't experienced yet. Two weeks ago I had an experience with psilohuasca (Syrian rue + cubensis), where instead of color and images I just saw gray when I closed my eyes and my body started feeling very light and almost transparent. I approached this experience from a Buddhist point of view where all phenomena, including the sense of self is viewed as empty. I embraced this emptiness and it felt very relieving. Maybe there was something similar in what you experienced? Usually surrendering to the experience is the way to go and taking what you experience with curiosity.

I've also experienced psilohuasca a handful of times and have mixed feelings on this combo. A couple of experiences were pretty interesting, but I've had more that were uncomfortable in ways. One time, I didn't "trip" at all and just felt like I had the flu. You mentioned your body felt light, which is different from the heavy feeling I usually get from psilohuasca.
Your experience sounds somewhat similar to what I experienced, but I did have a problem embracing the emptiness, and therefore it was not relieving! I feel I've been able to let go most of the time when in a deep experience, but this time, I did struggle a bit (ok a lot!). I really felt like I'd be there forever and it was a static, uninteresting, boring place. After a while, some color appeared in the center of my vision and slowly grew until I was back.
It seems somewhat similar to a salvia experience in that it was uncomfortable and had the sense of this was my new reality. I have a report complete, but I'll wait until I can post in the experience area.
