hello fellow travelers, I am a talented engineer who has somewhat dropped out of the rat race so to speak. Maybe this is just a bit of a walkabout, but basically I am here to learn how to safely explore my/our consciousness and bring the message to everyone I know! These are without a doubt powerful, world-changing waters we are dipping our toes into and hope my perspective will uniquely illuminate the nuances of this discipline for the good cause

I got all excited this summer and splurged on gear and Entheogenic plants that I’d love to explore. I also am endeavoring to get good at growing shrooms

Admittedly I am a Ttweeker, I hope that y’all of all people will not judge. In many ways I think that perspective is a major asset because there are many subtle nuances to all kinds of crystals

My first steps in hyperspace will be to explore MAOIs and efficient methods of consuming the spice, which I’ve found is very easy to do wrong and not get the full effects. Any and all of your comments are immensely valuable to me and everybody else, I love the attitude of this culture here at the nexus and this has become a huge passion of mine

First things first, I’m interested in learning techniques/tools for decanting or separating alkaloids/tryptamines/goodies

Also I want to explore different methods of smoking - I can’t stand smoking weed and I really think that ruins the spice which I have come to love the taste and smell of spice. I started off using a bubble with a small water percolator, but the nuances of heating it has an impossibly steep learning curve! That’s conductive heat, my current favorite is convection heating apparatus that I blew out of some borosilicate tubes using a propane torch. Pics to follow soon…

I have various dmt-containing leaves and MAOI containing rootbark, and I’m hoping for good ideas on ways to use them, and I’m always looking to expand my arsenal of tools and tek in this arena

Please share some of your own wisdom in these regards as there are many trials and tribulations I’d like to speed thru, to better explore consciousness and the magic in this our little slice of the multiverse

I don't judge. Just make sure to get the stims (as well as any benzos, opioids, SSRIs) out of your system before you consume MAOIs. The combination is dangerous and can be lethal.

Welcome! Which engineering dicipline did you practice and what are your current plans? Fellow engineer although relatively fresh. Already feel pidgioned holed but doing my best to expand into other areas.

I would encourage exploring MAOIs by themselves initially so you get a good feel for them before you springboard higher.

As for trials and tribulations, there are many shared quality Teks and information you can find pinned to each forum. I would recommend starting there and standing on the shoulders of giants.

Although there is no point re-inventing the wheel, nothing teaches us better than getting your hands dirty and making a few mistakes. If you have lots of plant material then you are good to go. Time and patience are your allies.

I’m an all day everyday kind of guy, but I don’t get all twacked out I’m the type that it just makes me feel normal. I don’t really mix stims when I fly, but there’s undoubtedly some residual everyday stims in my system. But after taking MAOI I don’t even want anything else

Attached is a pic of my current fave utensil, it used to be a what I call a water dog, a bubble with an extra bend to percolate a tiny amount of water, util the bubble broke and we broke that off leaving a rebound bubble in front of where I cram the choreboy, and doing away with the water percolation. I may make a fresh one of these, maybe with a double bubble for the buffer zone as one possible improvement

I have a version of the machine that I made as well, which is bottom loading for the spice so gravity pulls the spice back down towards the flame, but that one is hard to reload more than once because the water percolator makes it a pain.

This is what I’m currently using, until I get something like a vandy vape mesh RDA, which is aggravatingly out of stock everywhere on the internet

Just to echo what has been brought up, you need to be incredibly careful of mixing MAOIs and amphetamines, especially the methyl variety with the extreme serotonin pull. It can easily kill you if not given a proper 48 hours dry out period. Every guide out there will suggest a week at least, but 48 hours will at least put you into the realm of saftey, even though there may be risidual bodyload issues that are unpleasant.

With the same breath, no judgement at all. Most people have a past with other substances here. I've been clean from opioids and stimulants for almost 5 years now, in huge part thanks to plant ally medicines. They have a way of preforming shadow work unbeknownst to the traveler at the time.
