Was thinking about it these days.

Do you peepz think we have enough members, or we should have more members? Why or why not? Is it even possible, considering this is a place for entheogens so if people are not interested they would not join anyways, and if they are interested they (??) probably found us by now?

The chat room can be quiet and hanging around there I'd definitely would love to see more members! But dont even know how we could achieve that even!

It would be nice to see more people posting and interacting more often, however, for the standards of this site they will trickle in more slowly than some other forums. Based on the number of people who admit to having been lurkers, I think it's sage to say some people are intimidated. But that comes with the territory or having standards for this site and community.

Honestly, if this place were to become a pit like shroomery or reddit, you'd see me a lot less. I deal with enough idiots in my day to day life and this place is my "oasis." (Sorry, in a bit of a mood).

I think if we keep doing what we're doing, this place will become more active. It helps when veterans, senior members, and mods interact with other members more. But we all have busy lives and how we use our time is precious.

If you have any other ideas let me know and I'll be glad to assist again.

I like the fact that the population is small enough so we dont just fade into faceless avatars. We have a real chance to learn about each other and remember our interactions.

It's always nice to see someone who is thoughtful and has good vibes to register and even better to see them stay. I hope we can attract and encourage these people in the future too.

Yes, more than likely, but that can be regulated and mitigated imo.

My opinion is that it's perfect the way it is. In the end, every human community, be it "real" or digital, works the same way. In small villages people all know each other and create much closer relationships, help each other, take care of each other. In big cities, people don't even look you in the face.
In addition, always carrying this parallel, more people means more violations of the law (which unfortunately for us humans it is necessary to have). More violations means more work for the monitor (police/moderators). More work for the monitor means more iron fist. More iron fist means more power abuse. And so on...

I’m just coming back to this forum after a long hiatus from dmt and all psychedelic(7 years). The forum is definitely slower than it was but that’s okay. I will be contributing if I can but I’m generally a lurker.

Still, quality over quantity. It's definitely slower and there are a lot more resources out there now. Especially on youtube and reddit. Of course they don't compare to this place.

Something I've been thinking about is the difference between activity during the winter and the summer, is there a difference between activity levels?

I tried to join this site a number of times in the past and it just recently worked out. It is slower paced posting wise here compared to other forums, but it also has less riff raff and distractions too.

I really like this site and have learned a lot from it over the years. I can see how it can be intimidating for new members because there are some super smart dedicated people here. It really is university level compared to most other online places with entheogenic/psychedelic discussions.

I think new members can trickle in and quality over quantity can still be kept. If the floodgates open and every Joe Rogan fan or person who just now hears about DMT from youtube or reddit starts to join though...

I love the size, nothing overwhelming. Just enough to have daily post to read; not too much so we get to recognize each other... and the quality ! don't take for granted the quality of the interactions!!!

It seems to me, like the gym, that this forum is busier during the winter months when there's not quite as much activity. I'll try to take more note of this this season.

It's winter over here and I am definitely busier on the forum than usual. I have to add that I am more on the introvert side though and on certain days I just lurk. I am checking into the nexus nearly on a daily basis.

I love it here and just like it is with DMT, I get the idea it's not for everyone and that's ok.

Oh, I only discovered relatively late that there's a chat. I still haven't joined the chat, but I will.

The size of the forum is one of the reasons that I consistently post. I feel that I can say my piece and that it will be read and digested. With more people it might feel more rushed and less thoughtful just due to the sheer amount of responses.

As long as your running cost's are covered... I would say its fine the way it is. Its very peaceful and ''non interwebz'' like reddit and bluelight and other well known forums.

Well right now, at my timezone we usually have two to three chat members online at tops. In the weekend occasionally I see us peaking around 15 or so...

This thread got replies from ~10 users.

If we would double this, or even triple this, I still feel like people could get to know each other and the quality could be maintained, with a bit more options for research and growth (looking at you, Phalaris!)

It would be interesting to see how the forum grows or shrings through the years (registered users / month through 2010 and onward for instance, or active users or something like that...)
