Amen brother, my sentiments exactly. There have been plenty of these studies, but Rick certainly helped open many doors as well as eyes that were closed prior. I believe there is another study on psilocybin mushrooms @ John Hopkins University (don't quote me though) on its psychological benefits. Good stuff.
Oh and I am sure we all are aware the nature of endogenous spice, and its availability. Moreover I was referring to the regulations involved if it were legalized and under prescription guidelines only, which i truly doubt will happen in my lifetime, fingers crossed though. Many people are too lazy to extract, or just don't have the ability, physical or mental, to undertake it. Also, if it were similar to opiate pain killers, it would still be illegal to extract and possess (think poppies). Which of course begs the age old question are we breaking the law when our bodies releases the compound. Which is why i brought about this thread to begin with. Decriminalizing it is great, but these substances will still be out of most of our legal grasps still.
So until they want to lift this ridiculous prohibition off E, Spice, Psilocybin, Cannabis and the myriad of other useful, safe, and effective plants and compounds the we have coexisted with for millenia, I will be weary of any govnt regulations of them and view the laws as merely a means of having "thier hands in the cookie jar". Regulation and making money are the 2 things governments are all about.
Hence, "imagine if it were only available (legally) by script?"
Haha. Puts a new meaning to Pharmahuasca, huh?
It would still suck. Consider me a purest.
