Hi.

Not really sure how this site works and not sure if anyone will read this but fuck it why not.

I'm a London based Metal musician who is new to the DMT experience and was wondering if there were any other like-minded individuals on here who have recently (or not) discovered the DMT experience and wish to discuss this, plus music related discussion.

Favourite sub-genres are Black, Death, Thrash, Speed and Doom Metal.

Please get in touch if you are interested in any of these kinds of music as well as DMT.

HAILS.

You will certainly find plenty of DMT discussions here from old and new travelers.

Metal sources me and helps me process intense emotionality. It has a special place in my heart. I gravitate towards technical metal, black metal, death metal, and nu metal.

Are you willing to share any of your music with us (provided ot doesn't give away your identity)?

Happy to have you.

One love

Welcome to the forum. I've spent most of my adult life listening to decidedly non-metal music like hip-hop, dub/reggae, and all types of electronic music. In the last few years, however, I've found myself also gravitating to heavy psyche rock, stoner rock, doom metal, and a tiny bit of black metal.

I tend to like the melodic/psychedelic side of doom metal... bands like YOB, Year of the Cobra, and Heavy Temple are a few that come to mind.

For black metal, I like the band Batushka and the artist Panopticon, but can only really enjoy it in small doses.

Seems like you gotta be careful with black metal, as there appear to be a lot of sketchy bands out there with hateful and racist ideologies.

For stoner rock, The Devil and the Almighty Blues really does it for me. Also, Sergeant Thunderhoof.

Another band I like is OM. It's not really metal, but seems to have some doom like undertones, which really compliment the spiritual/esoteric vibe of the lyrics.

Lastly, there's an artist called New Age Doom who I enjoy. He made an album in collaboration with the late, great, Lee Scratch Perry, bridging the worlds of doom and reggae.

I was a black metal fanatic in my younger years. Still listen to a little bit of metal and try and keep somewhat up to date (and discover new stuff) although my tastes have become a bit more narrow these days and find myself gravitating toward the classics & originators.

Based in London too, send me a message if you wanna chat.

Peace!
