Hi Gang, As I mentioned in my first couple of posts, I am fairly new to the community. I was reading Ghostman's review of "Electric Sheep" Changa and I definately want to try it out. I've vaped quite a bit in the past, but have never made changa.
Ghostman recommends 1-part each of blue lotus, calea, and the molecule. My questions are:
1. Can anyone recommend a board approved (sponsor?) and respected source for the blue lotus and calea? 2. Do I buy leaves, petals, stamens? 3. How small should I cut up the flowers/leaves? Will my herb grinder (typical spacecase weed grinder) work for this? I plan to smoke out of a 10cm bong.
Thanks so much to all!
Cheers, J

You need harmalas, specifically those found in caapi leaves, to make changa. Otherwise it's just enhanced leaf. There IS a difference.

Well shucks ۩ , now I'm a bit confused. I think I need to do a bit more research on the site then. The post I read by Ghostman mentioned nothing about harmalas or any other botanicals. You mentioned clearly that there is a difference. Can you help out a bit with that? Is the "recipe" that Ghostman gave wrong and everyone is loving it for the wrong reasons? Help me out a bit with this one, and I will definately learn from you, make my Changa as you suggest, and report back with the results. I do appreciate it.

Every plant spirit has a profound effect in hyperspace, it seems. You can enter hyperspace with another ally to get to know it very vividly. I personally prefer to have harmalas, especially caapi. It's very hard to describe the differences...but they are profound. My advice would be to experiment and find what works for you.
Make his blend, and make some simple changa with caapi leaf + mullein to get a feel for how different they are.
I'm just a little anal about people using the work changa for enhanced leaf...
godspeed

There's nothing wrong with it. ۩ is just saying that Changa refers specifically to an enhanced leaf blend that contains harmala additives, i.e., caapi leaf, caapi vine, caapi extract, purified freebased harmala alkaloids. Harmalas are a guiding force...an enabler...extender...integrator. Enhanced leaf refers to any enhanced herb mixture, that may contain all sorts of herbs, but does not contain a any harmala additives. 'Electric Sheep' is enhanced leaf. Try it both ways. Harmalas are beautiful. One could even add a harmala additive to the 'electric sheep' blend. j-liquid wrote:3. How small should I cut up the flowers/leaves? I can't thank you two enough for the education. Much MUCH appreciated. Two more questions, then I'm off to the information superhighway to go shopping. 1. What would be a good ratio for Electric Sheep with harmalas? An equal amount of the molecule, blue lotus, calea, and caapi leaf, or do I use less caapi leaf? 2. Do I use leaves, petals, or stamens, or what? I'm assuming leaves are best? I do apologize for the questions, but I hope to do this right, and definately will post a trip report.

Don't worry about the technicalities of it. Just do yourself a favour and blend up some of that Electric Sheep. I got my leaves from Maya Ethnobotanicals. I also made Ayahuasca Andriod, which I can recommend but it's not as Electric Blue as the 'Sheep. ;-) See here for more changa recipes. If I were you, I would make a pure Electric Sheep and a Pure Ayahuasca Android. You can mix them up later. But do try Electric Sheep, you won't be disappointed! I like mine slightly rustic and chunky-like. Peace in mind, Love in heart

My favourite, aya android. The caapi adds so much to the journey. Gonna try blue lotus and Caapi as soon as I get some Lotus.

Hey, when making changa, is it required to extract harmala alkaloids from caapi or rue or whatever, or will simply 10x caapi work as good? So many changa recpies say harmala extracts, some say 5x or 10x or 20x caapi, some say both. My doubt is, to make changa, or for the RIMA/MAOI properties will 10x caapi do? In the lingering moments before you die your body releases DMT. The same drug that makes you dream. The same drug found in every living animal. It's not an evolutionary trick to make you survive. Your body is choosing to release this drug now because it believes your fate is too grim for you to comprehend. So you dream. You dream that everything will be fine. You dream that nothing happened at all. It's in this moment that your body sits across from you. It tells you 'looks like we're not gonna make it this time.' You sit around a fire and recollect the past before soon parting ways back to the atomic ether. Your body does this because it loves you. You have never met anyone like your body. Your body has been with you everyday, good and bad. It's even kept a journal of your life carved in scars. Your eyelashes always wiped the tears from your eyes.

You can use plain caapi leaf, use crude extracts or add alkaloids. The choice is yours, experiment. ps. But I was wondering if I extracted harmala alkaloids and then dissolved that with the spice and then infused the leaf, there would be very little surface area for the alkaloids and spice increasing the density of the changa there by making it potent with less material to smoke (herbs). But if we used the same quantity (mgs) of caapi leaves instead of the extract the spice would have more surface area there by giving more smokable material persay (herbs + caapi) Eg : 1. 0.5 gm spice + 0.5 gm extracted alkaloids both dissolved in alcohol with 1 gram herbs. 2. 0.5 gm spice dissolved in alcohol + 0.5 gm 10x/20x/50x caapi + 1 gm herbs. Wouldn't the first one have less surface area for the spice and extract making it more potent? Sorry about the text color, will change it, it appears good over my phone. 1. is still not potent enough 2. is way not potent.
The recommended ratio for changa is 1 gram dmt, 1 gram herb, and between 250mgs and 1 gram of harmala alkaloids. If you are making 10x caapi then do a mix of 1 gram 10x, 1 gram DMT. Once you've succesfully made a batch or two start experimenting. Until then I recommend following the traditional recipes. And go for 20x rather than 10x.
Perhaps you are thinking that you need more to smoke on because you imagine packing up a whole bowl of this stuff. That's not really recommended. Make your changa nice and potent and then sandwich a pinch between some straight mullein, parsley, cannabis, whatever. Corner the bowl and let the ember spread until the jewels fall out of your eyes.
