I salute you, beloved Nexians. I'm the Peyoneer on a loan and grateful to be allowed into your circles. I recently started with my MSc in Evolutionary Microbiology, working with predatory bacteria. But, having seen how much of our time academia can swallow and in most cases is not even helpful to the planet I am in parallel working towards a plan B which revolves around selling medicinal fungi. How original, I know.. But, it seems like the demand is growing as I have encountered multiple peers lately who would enjoy diving into this topic and I consider myself to be rather proficient in the field. So, let's hope that this is the road I will be able to finally take.

The last few years were mainly used for integration as in my naivity of youth I had quite Leary'esque tendencies in the sense of being way too disclosed about psychedelics. My urge to confront the general public with the topic was too strong. But, now I feel like I have found a solid footing in life and open to expand again. I have never broken through with DMT as fear of its power has ruled over me in the past (although I had a shy glimpse of the famous godhead in my last experience. I don't know whether this experience is reserved to a certain stage..), but my last experience was very welcoming and I feel like I understood what DMT is about. The main reason why I applied to become a member of this community is that maybe some of you would be interested in the kind of data we gathered. It is only a small sample of raw EEG-data taken during sub-threshold DMT trips, but maybe someone here has the ambition and capabilities to analyze them. Besides that I'm looking forward to make some new like-minded friends!
Could it be more obvious?

Hey there and welcome!

It sounds like you have some interesting tricks up your sleeves. We'd be more than happy to see the results of of your EEG experiments - although I do have to admit to being slightly disappointed to see that it wasn't from peyote experiences (but that's OK, this is the DMT Nexus, after all Smile ) Weren't there some recent mescaline psychotherapy trials in Switzerland? Do you know anything of this?

It would be great to hear some more about your previous experience with psychedelics and what you may have learned from that. Seeing as you're now developing your understanding of DMT, it makes me wonder if you have any experience with the harmala alkaloids. They certainly add an extra dimension to things, besides having some interesting properties in their own right.

Another thing that people here will love is pictures of any mycology-related activities you may have been getting up to. And feel free to drop by in the Chat for what at least can be a more prompt form of communication with other members. The Welcome Area still can require patience when awaiting replies sometimes - all the more reason to get on and post some nice fungi pics, for example, to hasten your promotion to full membership.

See you around,

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli
