The cat empire lost song I had nine lives but I lost all of them And I've been searching in the night and I've been searching in the rain I tried to find them, but they disappeared They walked away they dressed in black they left my side and all I say Is that I wasted time when I looked for them For now I know that things gone past are never to be found again No never never again I had nine lives, but lost all of them I had a plan, but never finished it And I've been searching for the thought and I've been searching in a haze I try all days to remember it But now the blueprint in my mind has gone, my mind forgot the color of direction And my eyes they see the hands that could've built That could've constructed the empire in my mind The empire I'll never find I had a plan, but that was where it ended, ended https://youtu.be/S3rfCXn_xvIhttps://youtu.be/bKqphMw950ghttps://youtu.be/P-CPp7-MP8Uhttps://youtu.be/ew-bu4bBC7khttps://youtu.be/JoEzuroeYLMhttps://youtu.be/-CdC_3TCxekhttps://youtu.be/us-RbY4ebZQ(((x_X))) (((X_X))) (((X_x))) There are tones, and timbres, and loudness, and "texture", and gestures, facial expressions, the spatial and temporal position of communicating bodies. ..and also clothes, attributes, smells, taste of skin and mucous membranes, tactility, proprioceptiveness of interaction. We often forget this in the digital world of two sensory channels. And this multimodality really enhances learning. ..the colonialists knew that the best way to learn a language was to love a native. Getting to love an instrument is the best way to learn music. ..The geeks (starting with Turing and Strachey), who created our digital reality, loved the smell of heated air from coolers, the sound and feel of the keys, the chirping of the processor. And so they learned and taught the world a new application of these mysterious calculators. .. ©

We are seven-seven-seven-six-seven-seven times seven hundred and seventy-seventh times. We are a repetition of mirror shards. We are a reflection. We are the hand that barely opens the window. We are the myrmor knocking on tomorrow's door ..and therefore, in the seventh year of this fucking psychotronic war with oblivion, we repeat who we are: We are the solar wind. Not the chest that breathes us. We are the last word. Not the lips that pronounce us. We are a step into the unknown. Not the feet that walk us. .we are an even beating of an empty heart in half. We are a one way bridge. Not lands that connect. We're going nowhere. Not a point of arrival or departure. We are an empty space. Not the one who takes it. We don't exist. We just are. .we are seven-seven-seven-six-seven-seven times seven hundred and seventy-seventh times. We are a repetition of mirror shards. We are a reflection. We are the hand that barely opens the window. We are the myrmor knocking on tomorrow's door .. https://youtu.be/WQmVUq9VD6Y

https://youtu.be/4Q9qxHCFLg0“I'm hungry, Norby. Okay, it doesn't matter; I'll find something for myself. But what about you? You can't plug into an electrical outlet here. You will starve. Maybe at least it will make you remember how to get back? ..- In fact, I cannot starve. Electrical outlets are like snacks between meals. For a real recharge, I dive into hyperspace. I can go there from anywhere, at any time. ..there is boundless energy in hyperspace. You should try it. “I'd give it a try if I had the opportunity,” Jeff muttered. - What does hyperspace look like? - No matter what. - A very intelligible answer. - Indeed! ..hyperspace is nothing. This is not space or time. There is no up or down, no where and when. ...when I’m there, I can feel… well, like… like a drawing that is not really there, but which is there, because it is what the real universe is. A drawing potentially present in hyperspace ... ..- Norby! “Well, I didn't say I could explain it. Did not work out.but I firmly know that hyperspace has potential - I mean, it is potentially anything, as if it has a reserve energy that is used to create the universe. ..but at the same time this energy is part of hyperspace ... - You go into the wild again. How is the universe created? “I think it happens when a point in hyperspace suddenly takes on a“ where ”and“ when ”. ..how it happens or happens is beyond even my understanding, not to mention the inhabitants of the solar system. And even if I can explain it to you, you have no way of understanding it. ..- Thank you for the appreciation of my mental abilities. All I really want to know is: can you pull us back into the solar system? - By itself! I just need to tune into the hyperspace image and find out where to go. .. https://youtu.be/iLxfmPg71g8https://youtu.be/IVyqMj5Zhy4

https://youtu.be/aP_-P_BS6KYthe instinct of survival is probably the strongest and it surrenders to me it is based on the fear of death either of an individual or of a genus in general.. (“Remembering the purpose of a grain of sand on the ocean shore, you will become a grain of sand, which does not know its purpose.”) try to grab the world with your teeth in order to pull out juicy, smoking pieces of its flesh, swallow without chewing, digest and leave heaps of shit behind; and those crawling after me, sensing its primacy, will begin to push each other aparthands, greedily open mouths, fight over every piece.I will look around and laugh: “The world is huge, wonderful and incomprehensible! There is enough shit for everyone! " And they crawled on - two small, red-brown worms on the surface of their world, a huge ripe apple. ..the apple lay on the table, in a moment, learning his world by devouring it, the Kid ate it without washing the apple and not noticing the worms. And the worms turned out to be infectious, knowing their world, they were devoured by microbes from the inside. The boy fell ill and died. ..parents cried, cried (in the first case - shit, in the second - a cruel Indian goddess) and buried him in the ground, where the grave worms pulled him apart. And an apple tree has grown on the grave . https://youtu.be/hi4pzKvuEQMhttps://youtu.be/ktZlYU0RnoIhttps://youtu.be/Vor3gieFTc4https://youtu.be/Dw_YbYpOPzo

Agreed Jazz is beez knees while tripping. I always get relaxed when listening to Jazz. It seems to be a great way to drop in, in yet at other times it has the right amount of chaos to bounce you around all sorts of locations in the mind.

i wonder if this has been mentioned yet?? i didn't know it existed until this year but it is from 2010!! Bobby McFerrin ~~ Say Ladeo~~~~~~~~your long~~lost dreams are suddenly awake, summoning a prayer you didn't even know was there!!~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~we're getting to that somewhere closer, that's hidden inside~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~wondering just what it was you meant to, say what you would say, if your heart led the way!! take away the words letting all the sounds just play!!~~~~~~~~ i know there are many art videos online that can teach people who aren't yet to have their own experiences what it might be like, but this maybe even only tangentially related one may go much beyond most or all of them!!

How did I not see this. These are two of the most psychedelic albums ever recorded, IMHO: Charlie Mingus: Black Saint and the Sinner Lady: Mingus: Ah Um IDK why the video says unavailable but the watch link works. Wow, the few tracks I picked out for now were truely masterful! At some point during my teenage years I stopped listening to Jazz as I didn't know how to move within the vast musical landscape of this genre in order to find the tracks which resonate with me. It's like I disagree with certain directions the artists decided to go and this feeling becomes rather annoying to me. I guess this says a lot about my arbitrary preposition that I feel like things need to be in a certain way. I assume this is what OP meant with "challenging structures". Jazz probably is more about opening your ears and listen what other artists have to say. But many lines and chord progressions just seemed like random doodling to me as I was probably lacking the necessary fundament/backstory to get the idea of the motifs. So, instead the world of psytrance completely took over regarding my musical explorations. Here, I find the system with all the sub-genres and record labels are really helpful at for finding "your authentic sound". I don't know whether different record labels are also representative for different styles in Jazz. But nonetheless, many of the tracks listed here really hit the nail on its head for me. Thank you for that! I don't know how many of you are into psytrance as well, but I assume that it is quite a bit less than I would think. Could it be more obvious? I grew up in a jazz household, born to a jazz musician, so obviously, I've heard ALOT of jazz. Fusion from the 1970's gets my vote. Go figure...it's the logical progression of modern jazz in the psychedelic era. ^^ A fine example. Frank Zappa's Inca Roads is probably my favorite. Hot Rats is also superb, as is Weasels Ripped my flesh. He may be one of the most prolific jazz/fusion artists ever. A bit too eccentric for many, but undoubtedly a creative genius and a master at composition and arrangement. I have dipped my toes into the massive jazz pool over the years. This is a wonderfully languid 30 minutes.... and another 43 minutes or so of Languidity....

Sun Ra's more accessible stuff like these two classics work great on a trip. Don't know if he or the other members of the Arkestra were taking psychedelics or just 'naturally' out there. Ive also really enjoyed these guys' combination of jazz and electronic dance music. Theyve done a couple of albums, but are better live imo. Mention Sun Ra as a major influence.
