Friends,

It's been a while since I've shown up. I hope everyone is healthy and doing well. Life's been quite hectic on my end. The new job I started some 6-7 months ago started to really drain me emotionally, and I had some depressive episodes that led me to finally make the decision to become a software developer, which is something that I've wanted for quite a long time but never had the patience and dedication to achieve. So I'm studying programming right now, and soon I will try to join a prestigious academy in my country, graduating from which will open a lot of professional doors for me.

Anyways, I wanted to share something with you today that I've been thinking about in the last 24 hours or so. It is by no means an original idea or something spectacular, but is an idea that fascinated me quite a lot, so here goes nothing. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

In pop culture apart from the three spatial dimensions we exist in, some people attribute a fourth pseudo-dimension - time. Whether or not time is indeed the fourth dimension or not is a topic for a different discussion.

For the sake of this one, let's separate time from the spatial dimensions, as it is metaphysical, compared to the rather physical spatial dimensions. Now let's imagine that time, much like space, has its own dimensions.

The first dimension of time would be a vector, the moving point of which is the present moment in which we exist. We can go backward on the vector through our memories, and forwards in the predictable direction of the vector through our imagination and reason. So far, so good. Nice and simple, everyday stuff.

Now, let's raise the dimensionality of time by one order of magnitude. The behavior of time in two dimensions shifts from a vector to a wave. This allows you to shift your temporal perspective parallel to the direction of the underlying one-dimensional vector.

There is a popular idea, greatly explored in the world of science fiction, that somewhat translates to this state of time - a world of parallel universes. Or in this case - a world of parallel timelines. For the sake of fiction, let's imagine one was able to freely navigate this second dimension of time. What would the experience of such activity be like? How would it look from your personal point of view?

We can assume that there is an infinite number of parallel timelines running along with yours, and they are the product of every single thing that could be different in the particular present moment. By every single thing, I mean all the way down to the chaos-governed behavior of subatomic particles, and the quantum characteristics of the forces that put all possible outcomes in a defined framework.

Simple 8th-grade mathematics shows us that the number of outcomes (translating to parallel timelines) of all possible combinations of a set of inputs equating to everything in the universe is a number too large to even begin to imagine. That's why we can assume there is an infinite number of parallel timelines where at least one element is in a different position, state, charge, or whatever compared to at least one other element from the adjacent timeline.

One can draw many, many ideas from such an example, as sci-fi over the years has shown. Let's take the well-known phenomenon of deja-vu for instance. Albeit a stretch of the imagination, one could suppose a deja-vu occurs when your perspective from a one-dimensional time vector intersects the wave of the matching two-dimensional timewave in two separate places at the same time.

In some parallel timeline, you have experienced a given situation, and this experience has been programmed in the timewave. Your particular time vector follows a path that lags behind this particular two-dimensional wave, and the moment where you experience the situation from your own perspective is the first instance of intersection with the higher-dimensional wave. The time that passes between the first and the second intersection is this deja-vu feeling we get. We feel like we know exactly what will happen next because in the timewave one dimension up it has already happened, and the moment we intersect the timewave again, the deja-vu ends.

Imagine if we could selectively follow higher-dimensional timewaves that precede our current time vector position, and experience a permanent state of deja-vu. In that case, the present moment will merge with a moment in the future that has no definite position on the time wave, because it is variable. The present loses its quality of temporal crystallization, and we are able to peer into the "future". But how can we use this effectively? Our perspective is limited only to two dimensions, which means that in order for us to find an objectively favorable timewave to follow forwards, we have to go sideways until we find one. As you can imagine, this would be very inefficient.

To make things easier, let's make them weirder. Let's raise the dimensionality of time with one more order of magnitude. Now time becomes a function of a metaphysical temporal object which has volume. In that object, one's temporal perspective can shift in any direction.

In order for us to be able to select the optimal timewave to attach to, we ascend/descend on the third pseudo-spatial axis. This way we obtain an elevated perspective on the entirety of the existing two-dimensional timewaves in that given object's volume. Expand the object's size to encompass the size of the universe, and allow it to bind to its borders, and expand synchronously with it, and you have an overview of every single timewave possibility that ever did or will exist.

Now all you need in order to be able to process all this information is a sufficiently powerful processing unit that can examine the available data and parse it through a filtering algorithm based on your dynamically changing preference or need, and you attain full control over everything that ever was, is, or will ever be. You become a true God, the likes of which no amount of creativity and imagination can even begin to depict. You become unfathomable.
