I have tripped a good handful of times in my life. Not nearly as much as some, but a fair couple. Sometimes, when my mind is particularly "loose" (such as when I am very tired) I can channel psychedelic feelings and states internally without any substances. Abstract things... visuals, the embodied sense of geometry, that feeling of the skin vibrating. Obviously more faintly than when tripping, but more vividly than mere imagination. It feels like a very present daydream. I am of the opinion that psychedelic experiences come from within rather than from the substances that trigger them, and my observations seem to corroborate that hunch. Is that also the popular opinion on this forum?

I know there are meditation techniques that can be reminiscent of psychedelic experiences, but I haven't tried them. Does anyone have experience with this?

P.S.: mimosa sludge *can* be harvested for lake pigment! I tried it. I think the highly basic environment in the extraction jar permanently darkens it, though. It's more of a deep brown, even when washed with acid.
I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want a clever signature.

I'm of the camp that some of the experiences may come from within, and some of them may come from without.

I sometimes (commonly during meditation) have mild psychedelic experiences, usually stemming from intense breathing exercises. The most common one it happens with is what I call "three per minute." I developed this on my own, but wouldn't be surprised if it was already standard in other practices and traditions.

The goal is to only take three breaths per minute, inhaling for 10 seconds and exhaling for the same.

At this point, Im sure DMT insight and vision is accesible through the mind alone. Flashes of light with sacred geometry that flows and grounds awareness (I can do this almost everyday through meditation), hypnagogic powers to overimpose your wildest imagination on top of reality (today upon waking I transposed this beautiful and ethereal jungle landscape onto my own reality,) and the ability to create the wildest dreams with archetypal figures which teach enormous lessons (if even through a lot of hellish pain and torture), plus the ability to create dmt visions, complex and other worldly, in the minds eye, which grants insight. The experience of rapture through cessation of sensual desire is also very note worthy in its power (pleasant and grounded euforia far far far surpassing cocaine.)

Here's an example of a member who seems to have an ability to summon and evoke this kind of experience with mediation. Perhaps they'll notice and provide some feedback, if you're desiring to learn how and if they feel so inclined.

Just do it! As soon as you have 15-20 minutes to spare!

I have recently done just a couple of 15-minute guided meditation sessions and result? Why do we even need to take drugs? Very happy

15 minutes of assisted breathing and mental focus/visualisation brings me into a different vibrational state, thought not for a long time, but you can definitely tell that this is it, you don't need entheogens to get there.

I am currently integrating meditation practices into daily life: meditating on breathing while travelling in a public transport f.e.

Meditation is really a key to train your focus, your willpower - things that matter the most in a mental dimensions. I probably won't ever be going into full psychedelic trip, until I have mastered control of my focus and will.

I think lucid dreaming is probably the ultimate innate psychedelic experience that is fairly accessible to everyone. Well after dying maybe. But the thing is: you don't need years of hard training to get realy spectacular results.

Wim hof breathing can be a bit trippy, but i don't find it realy compares to psychedelic substances.

Meditating in nature isn't realy very psychedelic either, but it can still be a quite euphoric experience. Or at least for me it is. If you silence your mind for long enough, at some point you can become extremely aware of all the living things around you, wich is absolutely awesome.

Are you presently not taking psychedelics friend? Just curious. If so, how long have to been away and what are your motivations (aside from wanting to develop more focus first). Sometimes, when partaking in the spice, I like to try to maintain focus meditatively amidst the experience. It's developing and, not gonna lie, kinda fun lol.

Are you new to meditation? If so, it's awesome you've had such wonderful effects and experiences so early on. That's not the case for many.
