Would these be useful for digesting plant cells before extraction. They would be nicer than strong acids/bases. Some of these enzymes are used in fruit juice production so food grade supplies are commercially available.

very interesting. enzymes are tailored for many diff applications.

Cellulase maybe?

For some reason, these are even sold as dietary supplements.
