No, the actives stay in the liquid-- only the plant solids sink.
I use the method for all plant teas-- cactus, leaves, barks, seeds-- gravity helps drop everything to the bottom Smile

Whole Rue seeds are best prepared by baking them in the middle shelf of an oven at 350F for 15 to 18 minutes which both dries them out (making it far easier to grind them into fine powder for ingestion) AND cooks off all the ugly chems that tend to cause nausea in them. It will not ruin the harmalas at that temp.

They also taste WAY better-- like chocolate w/peanut butter. I just mix them into coconut milk and shoot them but you can encapsulate the powder too. It works very well, and I have not felt any nausea since adopting the method.

I even would pay for that perfect answer and you give it me for free - be blessed Embarrased

Final question, maybe I made something wrong: the mimosa or the chacruna (p. viridis) get cooked just in a steal pot with water and a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar on a small stove flame over 4+ hours, right? Or what is there the best way?

A quick answer would be fine because today is just another try for brewing a working ayahuasca tea Pleased [about how to cook it the best way without making mistakes]

Further: It shall not cause any problem to mix p. viridis with m. hostillis in the same pot right?

Lie down in the dark, chew some root ginger, suck a slice of lemon/lime, breathe slow and steady. No background music, just the sound of your breath, and concentrate on long, slow breaths

I've found that the brew doesn't really flow through a coffee filter. At least it seems to take years because it gets clogged up really quickly.

How to solve this problem?

For nausea/vomiting you can try taking 8 to 10 drops of Limonene in a capsule with the Aya, see how that does. Limonene is the only thing that for me personally has helped with the nausea/vomiting, i've tried Ginger, Peppermint, Zofran, and a few other things, and they never really helped me much, Limonene definitely seems to help though. I found out about Limonene because i had read years ago that Lemon EO can help with nausea/vomiting, people thought it was the Beta-Pinene content in there but turns out it's actually the Limonene in the Lemon EO that helps with that, so i started using pure Limonene and got the anti-emetic benefits.

I am not understanding how a Caapi brew can taste good. I'm legitimately curious. As well as curious as to how its ratio to the DMT containing plant works.

Because I've been tripping HARD from just 50grams shredded B. Caapi and 3grams powdered MHRB put through 3 white vinegar washes which takes me 15 hours to make (these are the "standard" units I use for dose when I make batches, and I adjust how much I want to take based on volume).

There is absolutely no way the Caapi tastes good after that. I also don't know what doses you're really talking about when you mention washes without mentioning the state of the material. Doses change significantly whether you're talking about whole vine, shredded, resin, or powdered.

It just seems a little dangerous to say take 15grams mimosa, when you're talking about shredded, and someone with powdered makes their first dose with that.

Pertaining to this thread though, have you also thought about sipping it? I don't do my doses as a shot. I much prefer to sip on them (they both take a certain willpower to handle though). Taking either straight could also upset your stomach like taking two strong shots of alcohol at the same time. It takes me 15-20 minutes to make it through either brew, and I generally smoke a cigarette in between and drink a little bit of water to wash the taste out.

Other than that, I agree with the others that you may have to look at your filtering process. If it's taking you only a couple of hours to make, maybe you need to look at this: All About Aya

Never thanked her, but little Miss's post is what helped me make my first batch. She's actually the intro point for me to the Nexus honestly.
Sinbad is an entirely fictitious character I created for role-playing someone sailing their own consciousness as if it were the 7 seas. Also, the semi-colon was meant to be abused; incorrectly even!
