Hey

I'm reading about cold shock proteins and am unsure of a few things.

Studies state a drop of 0.9celsius of core body temperature is needed.

The thing is, core body temperature drops even after one gets out of the cold water. Specifically for me, 15-20 minutes are needed for it to stop dropping and start increasing again.

The question is, do I NEED TO BE IN THE WATER WHEN THE 0.9 DROP HAPPENS, or can I be outside?

This is something I've been trying to find for a few months, to no avail.

If anyone knows the correct answer to it, or has some studies that show the answer to this question, I would be so thankful!

For context, a 0.9 drop for me in 14celsius water takes 20-25 minutes. And if I'm still in the water when it happens, my core body will drop as much as 1.5-2.0 celsius. That effectively gets me to 34.5 C or 35 C. This is frigging cold.
But if I can be outside when the drop happens, that's easy and can be done in 15 or so minutes.
A second chance? Huh... I thought I was on my fifth.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!
