I can not argue with that friend. Sorry to sound so harsh I was feed up set with humanity and things I see as destructive.
To look at in a traditional sense likely a metaphor we all know in the context of Shamanism a personnel crisis always precedes healing of the self.
And so that philosophy says once you are healed you are then able to help others.
There is some real esoteric advice. Its real it just needs to be deciphered and put into context.

The existential crisis is normal psychology.
Embrace it and grow
I can see you doing it already.
No reason to doubt you will be helping others soon.
No external sources are necessary to give you mental power
or help others. Keep thinking you will succeed
