Which are better for you?

The last five weeks have been punctuated by turbulent sleep almost every single time I close my eyes. Fantastic lucid dreams that I take part in for hours or even days in real time. Otherworldly experiences and visitations. Knowledge and answers. Tricks, traps and smoke screens.

It has made being asleep way more exciting than being awake to the point now where I consider being awake as the necessary recharging time for my sleeping life.

Zero drugs consumed other than nicotine, caffeine and a very rare beer.

I have taken a fair amount of journeys via chemical induction in my life but I have to say that even the few DMT trips I have been on do not compare to a really powerful dream.

Having said that...I am starting to get an itch to smoke again recently...

But no. I am fairly certain that if I had to choose one or the other for the rest of my life I would eliminate all drugs and keep my dreams rather than the other way around.

So if you had to eliminate one or the other, what would you decide?
I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Imagine if you tripped as often as you dreamed and dreamed only as often as you trip! Stop
I find trips damn scary every time, which is why I do it infrequently.
Hard choice though.
I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want a clever signature.

Hm, good question ...
Did you try consumation of "x" while dreaming/ in a lucid dream.

I actually had my first DMT Experiences before I actually had them doing spice in the dream. Turned out to be more or less the same which is quite fascinating. The dream experience most often doesn´t have the "experiencial" typ of character that tripping has for me. In the dream there´s only the dream and nothing besides it so to say. Feels more like a movie with less choices.

German Idealism, Phenomenology, Psychoanalysisis and Psychotherapy, Philosophy of Mythology and Religion, Tibetan Buddhism

when i read the title i was ready to jump straight in and say trips were my favourite. after reading the post i started to think about my similar dreams i had years ago that were intense, detailed, lucid dreams. i took a couple of years to refine my ability to control them and i had complete control by the end. i could make anything happen that i wanted and do anything i wanted, it was incredible.
i lost the ability to dream like that somewhere, i dont even really know when it stopped, although i have an idea why.

anyway, after thinking about those dreams i dont think i can decide between them. i like trips like acid or mushrooms because they warp reality and bridge the gap between the physical and the metaphysical, which makes me feel like an explorer in my own world, discovering things that were right under my nose the whole time.
dreams have their own special place though, because anything you can think of is possible, in all ways. being able to control those aspects is amazing, but even if you cant it is still a great experience, allowing your mind to take over reality. i think my mind limits my experiences there though. if i cant imagine it then it cant happen, but while tripping the impossible becomes possible. thats where DMT comes in for me. it allows me to uncover the things that my mind would never have been able to dream up without help.

maybe i will have an answer in the next few days. this is definitely something i am going to think about.
