Haven't seen it yet. It has been too cloudy here, for the past couple of days.

Here's a nice pic of it (not mine!):

Skies have cleared here and the week ahead looks promising.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

That is a beautiful picture which Mr. Zero posted.

Friday morning I got a look at it with binoculars.

Sky was somewhat cloudy, so even if I did have capable equipment, I couldn't have produced a photo like that. In my photos, a person might say "ok, yeah, there is a blurry star-thing, low on the horizon".

But I'm glad I got a look.

In a few days, I'll drive in the late afternoon to try to get a look.

It's been too cloudy in the AM here too. DFZ- whoa! That's it? That looks like more than 5 degrees...magic of photography...
Sunnyside, that's more what I expect to see. Is it pretty easy to pick out? There's a ton of light pollution here, I don't have my hopes up. I'm just always up at dawn anyway...

I am in the city here, so at 3am I drove out into the desert, merely an hour, to get away from the light pollution.
Venus was dominant, but hazed over, so I knew it was a longshot.
That actually might be your bellwether - if you can see Venus pretty well, you should have a chance, I guess.
I scanned with naked-eyes, no luck, but put on the binoculars, and sure enough, there's a fuzzy tail. Even through the wispy clouds.
I'm glad I saw it, and I'll look again, but I can't take those 'magic' pictures, like you say.
The sunrise was spectacular, at least, with those wispy's.

On an aside, can I change my name from null to neowise?

Nevermind.

I've seen it! But I don't have a good enough camera lens for it to be worth me taking any pictures of it. This is the first time, in all my years, that I've managed to see a comet with my own eyes (although my memories for quite a few years are distinctly hazy).
