psychosisdoses, I highly doubt that 20g of contamination got in the naphtha...it's just not realistic.

It obviously was not N-oxide because it was originally pulled with naphtha, and the oxide is extremly insoluable in naphtha.

Most likely what happened is that when attempting to redissolve the entire mess not enough naphtha was used, and even though it was hot, it was supersaturated...more naphtha was needed to dissolve it all.

I still suggest continuing to heat up naphtha and dissolve that chunk of goop (which is probably highly active by itself).

My first real extration was with 1/2kilo of bark, and it turned out just fine...so while I agree that a smaller test run is helpful, it is not necessary. ALL of the spice is recoverable, nothing is lost as long as nothing is tossed. In fact, I would go back and pull some more from the basified jug of mimosa. Leave 200ml of naphtha in there for a week and see how much MORE spice comes out.

I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention.

I don't know SWIM and personally don't trust him at all. If SWIM is posting, most likely I will not respond...as I said, I don't trust the guy. YOU I trust, but never SWIM.

Well , well , how did you guys know !? Surprised Seriously , not only were you right where the dmt was hiding but also about it not being n-oxide . What is it about n-oxide that was different enough that you guys ruled it out ? I want to understand and learn !

Because they read more than one tek & experimented with it themselves....you should really do a bit more research into what you are doing & when given some advice, maybe consider listening to it....

What you are doing is basic organic chemistry, just removing the plant matter & other contaminates from around the DMT.
All the different teks are accomplishing the same thing in different ways, so reading as many of them as you can will help you learn about the process you are doing, instead of guessing your way through a recipe.

Every question you had I have read the answer to in one, or mare teks.

If you feel you need to "go big", than you should really inform yourself better, you could get yourself hurt.

Sorry to be so blunt, but these kind of threads really amaze me sometimes.

That's pretty brutal WS!
It's easy when you know how, but for beginners even the simple questions can stump you. I am sure he did plenty of reading to get that far. It's also a good experience to post a question and interact with the forum. It helps you to feel part of the community, rather than exclusively look through old posts for answers. Just IMO, it's all good. Smile
Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery.

WS I can appreciate where you are coming from , but you did jump to a few conclusions , ie , what I have and have not read . It is one thing to study about something and quite another to actually have the experience . Theory is one thing , experince is another . Speaking for myself , reading about something and then actually doing it tends to bring questions about certain aspects of the experience that hither to was only read about and quickly forgotten .

That's what being a teacher or coach is all about , sorry my questions were a waste of your time .
