The presence of a DMT-like molecule within the common politician has not been proven by analysis, and the only reports are entirely anecdotal and must be considered as possibly erroneous. That said, if you were to attempt to do so, please post your results. Perhaps if many of us do this, we can detail our efforts in a seperate thread?
Unfortunately, according to the anecdotal reports, yields are quite low and it is very difficult to acheive pure results. Contaminates must be removed PRIOR to extraction and this often proves to be more work than it is worth, considering the afore-mentioned low yields.
While this species is very common around the world, there are reportedly very few actual specimens with whom it may work. It is fairly easy to tell them apart by their fruits. An extract attempt on politicians that drop rotten fruit and display no colorful florescense should not be attempted, but those specimens should rather be culled, seperated from the rest and better candidates put in their place. In that way, within a generation there may be a larger proliferation of politicians displaying the colorful year-round production of nutritious and psychedelic fruit, and a better tek may become available.
