I am an IT guy so please cut me some slack as for the writting part. I would like to say hello to all long time and new members. I must say I enjoyed filling up the forum's questionnaire. Over the course of a few days It forced me to look into chemistry, theology, science, learning about the forum and it's culture. Every part was interesting. Unfortunately I usually learn on mistakes and taking risks so I am not sure how well did it go.
I am 27 years old. After getting some years of professional experience and finishing studies, It finally allowed me to change the country of origin. I am a happy resident of the Netherlands. Before I was living further into the east of Europe. I am not running from anything, just exploring new lands and continuing my journey through the world.
It took me some time to get rid of cultural and family biases that did not go well with my nature. Psychodelics helped me a lot in achieving that. Maintaining a healthy distance from what I do not like and not wasting my energy where it is not appreciated. That, accepting, loving myself for who I am and getting rid of traumas were just a few aspects in which this medicine has helped me. That is also why I am here and why I would like to learn more. Share experience challenge my views.
My interests live mostly around psychology, nature and technology. In the last years I learned a great deal from public thinkers like Jordan Peterson and Sam Harris. NPR Hidden Brain and other psychology podcasts like Psychology in Seattle, Shrink Rap Radio, youtube channels like Pursuit of wonder and lately The Midnight Gospel were also a great resource for inspiring thoughts. I also admire work of Ron Fricke. His videos are an eye opening masterpiece no matter how many times I watched them. I also enjoy listening to Joe Rogan podcast. My recent favorites were with Dennis McKenna, Hamilton Morris, Paul Stamets, Elon Musk, Tony Hawk and Duncan Trussell.
I like development. Even assembling a simple grill seems like fun. That has made me into a software engineer. My side projects have recently been mushrooms and spice. Both with satisfying outcomes.
During Corona I have also started looking for a used skateboard. There are a few skateparks nearby from where I live and I've never had a chance to try.
Cheers,

Welcome! Is that avatar photo an extraction of yours? Drooling.......... At the center of this existence, it is everything and nothing, all of us and each of us and none of us. My light is now lit, and it cannot be extinguished.

Hello fellow skateboarder The netherlands have great skateparks. There is flatspot magazine on you tube. It is the dutch online skate mag. They always travel and cover things around the world. So maybe you can find some interesting stuff there. Anyways have agud one and skate or die Psychedelic drugs don´t change you, they don´t change your character, unless you want to be changed. Yes i started skateboarding in the late 80s. Only thing i can advice is learn to roll around safely before trying anything. Don´t get impatient. Once you get that down everything else will come naturally. Watch some old skatevideos for inspiration. I hope you have fun with this. It definetly is my biggest passion to this day. Still skate everyday. Have a gud one Psychedelic drugs don´t change you, they don´t change your character, unless you want to be changed. They enable change. They can´t impose it. Alexander Shulgin

Thank you! I will keep that in mind. Not falling on a flat surface will be the first goal.

That is quite some time, seems like you were one of the very first ones. Cool. By accident it landed in a new post.

Skateboarding is around since the 50s. When i started i didn´t know about tricks. I was just running around and jumping on my board. I realised you could do stuff in 1991. That´s when i really started to learn about the history and got a proper set up. I can recommend skately library. or Thrasher magazine home page for more videos Go check it out and have fun Psychedelic drugs don´t change you, they don´t change your character, unless you want to be changed.
