When i first tried DMT, the first effect that i noticed was the hess sound, that grew louder and louder until my vision got distorted (actually opened my eyes for the first time!)..
This sound really amazed me and dropped my jaw down! I always heard that sound in my ears but it was so quiet!!
Sometimes i even thought that i have a problem in my ears, but when i tried DMT i understood what was this sound, i guess this sound is the sound of the electricity flow in our brain, and when we do DMT we are concentrating inside so we start hear it louder.
Anyway, lately i noticed that the sound is always with me, but of course in low level, but always! I keep thinking that maybe there is something wrong with me, i mean that i shouldn't hear this sound all the time! So what do you think guys? should i mind it or shouldn't i? Could it be that there's something wrong with my brains electricity??

Ever since trying DMT I've noticed that sound too, you can hear it when taking LSD, or mushrooms. It's especially prominent when taking DMT for me. I wanna say the sound is linked to or is our vibrational frequency. I'm still rather new to the psychedelic world so older members probably got a better idea than me. I do really enjoy the noise that it admits! I'm hoping after doing mediation for awhile and consuming ayahuasca I will be able to tap into that frequency better.

As for something being wrong with your brain I don't think there is. Smile

I think it's just noise; mixed signals. Always a fun occurence, though. Once after drinking rue tea it was so clear that I could sing the note of the hiss.
I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want a clever signature.

It’s not only normal but almost obligatory.

You let the genie out of the bottle. You can hear it when she is coming out.

When you are meditating hours daily for a long time (years) and daily Yoga and pranayama you notice after a while a growing noise, sound (vibration in a certain frequency). After sometime it changes both frequency and volume.. and you can also start to feel the vibrations in your body..

When working with DMT especially with Ayahuasca you ramp this process up quickly and get a boost on similar to effect.. On another level IMOPleased

Everything is vibrations.. shaking little funny colorful atom dudes witch tics..Cool

Yes but both tools are crucial in my opinion....

I remember some Terence Mckenna talk that went something like: Its not about fasting yourself to death... Meditating in a cave for 40 years.. Or dancing all night long under the full moon... Not mantras, yantras, Prana here Prana there or drumming infront of the fire when the stars are align..

Its about going into a deal with a plant and then do everything together.. Take a sufficient dose, do your fasting... Check the stars.. Full moon... Practise some mantras... Have the drum ready.. And keep your focus! Cool haha

The higher level of frequency your are carrying.. The more powerful your concentration is.. The higher levels will reveal to you when working with Ayahuasca.. And its a scale that never seems to end.. So we can train and push forever without reaching any goal and also then no risk of getting bored.. And when you get bored focus on the boredom, get through it and a new level will ariseSmile

Bla bla bla bla... haha

Everyone makes a big fuss about the noise, or symptoms in general when it comes to psychedelics or meditation. With DMT it's predominantly the visual element that captures everyone's attention, no explanation required as to why on that front!

Personally I think it's a mistake to get fixated on any symptom. McKenna has been mentioned already, but he himself always said "Do not give into astonishment..", or rather the Elves said that to him. If you're busy worrying or fussing over some symptom you may miss something way more important! The takeaway point that keeps getting hammered home to me in my own experience is that attention needs to be directed inwards, not outwards to symptoms of any kind, if you wish to gain insight or revelation.

As to what it is.. intense neurological activity, like a seizure or orgasm perhaps? Or if that's not esoteric enough, perhaps some sort of attention driven noise-feedback where your attention is straddling the physical dimension and another dimension. Who knows!

Maybe I was envy. Most of the time, I attract people into my life who do both meditation and yoga. The mentality might be similar, I’m just too hyperactive for it. (I never went on holiday in my life. Not even once.)

Self-hypnosis works for me although I also can’t do it on a regular basis for more than a few times.

In general, you are right.

Although the symptoms might be interesting from another perspective.

My DMT, pharma, and mushroom trips are silent.

When I vape DMT, I feel a specific pressure on my head that I can’t compare to anything. On mushrooms and pharma, it’s less intense.

Regarding the visuals, it varies how similar the mushroom trips are to the vaped DMT experience. The closer the mushroom trip’s visuals get to the vaped DMT, the closer the physical feeling it gets too. About a week ago, I took my mutated GT strain. Soon, I felt exactly what I feel on vaped DMT. Then I spent 1-2 hours in hyperspace.

It seems to me that the DMT specific experience comes with the DMT specific symptoms even if it’s achieved without DMT.

I've always thought the noise had something to do with ear pressure.

Slight blood pressure elevation, which can be a emotional rather than physiological response to a DMT blast off, combined with heightened perception.

Could you have tinitus (sp)? If the sound continues while sober, perhaps it was exacerbated or simply come to the fire of your awareness.

IDK, just putting some rational possibilities out there.
