Finally, people have responded! After over a day of silence, I was beginning to think nobody was going to contribute. Thank you all for offering your thoughts, it's much appreciated.
Instead of quoting everyone's comments and making this post a mile long, I'm simply going to address each person in the order they responded, starting with the palindromically named, 23aka32.
Great name, by the way. Personally, I obviously have a penchant for punned names. Duncan is a name I've used for many years now. Oddly, I rarely drink alcohol and I'm never intentionally disorderly when I am drunk. Actually, there's a lesson in my name about never judging a book by its cover, in my case, a name. Quite often on the web, people judge me by my pseudonym alone, which inevitably gives me a distinct advantage.
In response to your comment, don't think I haven't thought the same. In fact, I have had coloured markers and paper at the ready quite a few times in order to depict what I see. Each time I do, something stops me from attempting it. I am reminded of the Dee and Kelley story, which didn't end well as a result of translating the Enochian language. My fear is, I'd be writing things that contain a force I couldn't handle. Ultimately, the "angels" that appeared to Dee and Kelley made many grand promises they never fulfilled. Also, the ancient Egyptians believed that magic is contained in certain writing. Part of me wonders if I'd unwittingly release a force I can't control or could control me. I consider Pandora's Box and wonder if curiosity could potentially kill this cat. Instead of copying it ignorantly, I figured it was prudent to make an inquiry here to see if anyone shares my experience. Otherwise, acting in ignorance could prove foolhardy.

Pleased to meet a fellow UK traveler who began his journey at the same time I did. After watching the documentary about DMT on Netflix well over a year ago, I was eager to learn more. What impressed me were the test subjects. They were all intellectual, comprising of doctors, writers, and artists. Every one of them had a profound, life-changing experience. The one word that pops up frequently is, transformative. Intrigued, I read up on the topic and soaked up as much information about it before I tried it. Clearly, it wasn't a decision to make lightly, especially because I realized it was a life-changing one. Since I couldn't buy it at Tesco's or Asda, I learned how to extract it from mimosa myself. My previous experiences with hallucinogens meant I could go into this without fear and with an open mind. Like they say in Dune; "Fear is the mind-killer."
I've also tried making a brew, using mimosa and rue seeds. Two times I have attempted it, with no results. Can't understand why, as I have followed the instructions to the letter. I've even tried eating it raw, like a thread here suggests. I started with 3g of rue I hammered into powder and the same amount of powdered mimosa. Nothing. Even after waiting for almost an hour and taking an extra gram of each, I had no success. According to everything I've read, I should have been higher than John Lennon, flying on a kite, on acid.
The utter beauty of what I've seen during my DMT experiences are incomparable, as well as, almost indescribable. There have been times I have been moved to tears at the enchanting visions I've seen. Terrence McKenna hit the nail on the head when he compared some to living Faberge eggs that are constantly morphing because it's the exact same description I used.

Both your comments were interesting to read. You mention the Chinese arts of movement, which I assume is Tai Chi. Funnily enough, as my DMT trips have evolved, I've found myself singing in the tongue of an unknown language. An elaborate chant comes out of me, quite often it's dominated with alliterations and sound almost like a magic spell. It's not something I could do normally. I have tried imitating it with no success. My theory is since I can't describe what I'm seeing in my native tongue, it's as if this is the only way I can form a description. Plus, my sense is, what I'm saying is a translation of what I'm thinking and feeling. At the same time, I've started doing movements with my arms, in time with what I'm saying. Since I'm highly instinctive and rely on my gut, I asked myself what I was doing. Two words popped instantly in my head. Tantric dance. Bear in mind, I was aware of tantra and tantric trance, but I couldn't recall hearing of tantric dance previously. To my amazement, a quick Google revealed it's precisely what I am doing.
The whole experience is quite cathartic and the songs I sing in this alien language are beautiful. Pure instinct takes over and I trust in my soul to find the words on my behalf. What I find remarkable is, when I write, I take a similar approach. I clear my mind, speak from the heart, and trust in my soul to find the words on my behalf. And, just like DMT, when I'm in a writing flow, it's akin to being in a trance. It's a truly magical experience. I rarely recall writing my own words and it's as if they were written by someone else when I read them. No wonder why the ancients believed in the Muses. Apparently, it was the Muses who were behind our inspiration and it's their words, thoughts, ideas, and songs we express.
Like you, I've also wondered if the flow I see is their blood. They are translucent and even when I see them at their clearest, I can see through them. However, I never considered it was my own blood. I agree on refocusing my sensations. Quite often, I find it doesn't take a huge shift of focus and the most profound things come about when I shift my perspective ever so slightly.
Allow me to share one of my earliest DMT trips when I met an unusual entity. From what I could comprehend, it was a 2-dimensional being. At the same time, I had a sense it was an important entity, almost godlike. Since it was 2-dimensional, it meant you could only see it face on. It was a constantly morphing meshlike form in appearance and at its center was something that looked like a face, but it wasn't its face, but more its main body or where its brain was. I learned that its eyes covered all its entire form. Apparently, it was an honour for it to face me and it could have remained invisible if it chose to be by simply turning on its side. It also told me that it could move through dimensions quite easily. For example. if you imagine the 2D is like a piece of paper, then all it needs to do is fold in on itself and create a tube form, which effectively makes it 3-dimensional. To go up a dimension, it folds in on itself again and adds a new dimension to its form. Rinse and repeat up the dimensions and you should get the idea.
When I came to, I kicked myself because I never asked its name. It took me about a week, but I eventually met this entity again. As time was precious, the first thing I did was apologize for not introducing myself and it told me it already knew my name. However, it said it was difficult to tell me its name for two reasons. First, it had many names. Secondly, its concept of a name was unlike ours. It explained that a name for them is something that describes you, which is why it has multiple names. Like, I would be called male or human or whatever other words that can describe me. Nevertheless, it was willing to give me one name. It was keen to add that the name it would give could have different versions, something I didn't understand at first. It took a minute or so, but eventually, I got two variation of a name. Avaneesh or Avaneesha. I've never seen this entity again.
Imagine my shock when I Googled the name. Avaneesh or Avaneesha (plus a few other variations) are one of the many names that describe the Hindu God, Lord Ganesh or Ganesha. But, when I read further and learned exactly who He is and what He represents, my jaw hit the floor. Lord Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences, and the deva (meaning heavenly, divine, anything of excellence) of intellect and wisdom. He is the God of new beginnings and honoured at the start of rites and ceremonies.
Talk about apt. God of new beginnings, like myself at the start of my journey into DMT. Remover of obstacles, which describes Lord Ganesh, since he is able to transform himself and move through dimensions. He has multiple names that literally describe him, precisely like he told me. The Avaneesh name means Lord of the world. Normally, I'm not easily swayed but this was hard to ignore. By the way, I mentioned how it had something that resembled a face. Eventually, I realized something about this form. It looked exactly like the long beards and mustaches the Hindu mystics grow. While many people report seeing Lord Ganesh in his elephant form, I now believe I saw Him in His most basic form. It's as if He knew I would search for an answer myself, more so because I am a doubting Thomas.
Terrence McKenna makes an interesting point about doubting Thomas in one of his lectures. He relates the story of Thomas and how Jesus confronts his doubts when He appears to His disciples. Thomas had said he won't believe Jesus has risen from the dead until he feels the holes in his hands, made by the nails. As a result, Jesus has Thomas touch his hand and feel the holes. There's a profound lesson here about doubting because Thomas was the only disciple who touched the hand of the Divine. The lesson being, that to have doubts is a good thing and to believe blindly isn't as true. Whereas the doubter has a strengthened belief once it has been proven. So, it's ok to have doubts, as long as you still have faith.

Pleased to hear I'm not alone and you have also had consistent experiences. Aside from the "entities" I see with my eyes open every time I smoke DMT, there are others I see in my mind. That said, I've discovered something fascinating. I wear a mask over my eyes when I "travel". What's remarkable is, it doesn't matter if my eyes are open or closed under the mask, I see the same thing. This has led me to ponder if blackness is the way to travel to other dimensions. It makes sense since blackness is something that would exist in all dimensions. It's bizarre to lift my mask slightly and see our world below me like I'm wearing an Oculus VR helmet. I've come to believe we are literally in two places at once when we smoke DMT and have a breakthrough experience.
For the past couple of months, I revisit the same realm every time I breakthrough, which is about five times a week. Oddly, this path started at around the same time I began the chanting I mentioned above. As a matter of fact, there is a set path I follow. It begins in an area of blackness, with splashes of colours from the spectrum. From there I am led into a realm of breathtaking beauty, colours, and bright light like it's always sunny. The colours of the entities change as I move along and finish off with entities that are earthy in appearance. They vary between brown and mustard coloured, with slots that look like tiny round pebbles inside them.
My sense is, they are tribal in nature, perhaps more like an insect colony where everyone plays their part without question. Those are my favorites and to my amazement, I've found myself lingering with them longer and longer each time I visit. It's as if they recognize me and appear happy to see me. At first, I saw them from a distance. However, during one breakthrough I noticed three main forms that emerged from the left and right, with the biggest and I suspect was their leader or Queen in the middle. That's one amazing thing with certain entities, you get a definite sense of masculine or feminine. For some reason, it seemed apt to hold my hands below my mouth and offer my breath to them. Don't ask me why, but I felt it told them who I was, as well as, my true intentions and it was a show of deep respect. Thankfully, I brushed my teeth beforehand. lol
Since that time, they come right up to me and seem to vie for space in order to say hello. It's like they follow me now in order to see me for a longer period of time. I've told them in both English and this alien language I speak that I think of them as friends and I love them since I believe love is universal. I've yet to hear them speak. Instead, I get a telepathic sense of mutual respect and love. My visits always end the same and it's as if I'm flying away from this realm, which appears to be a floating island of some sort, with a wispy, diaphanous cloud that surrounds it. There have been other realms I've seen more than once. However, the realm I speak of above is the one I've visited the most. I believe this is why it's so vivid in my mind now.

Hello again, dragonrider. Thanks for your comment.
Yes, I have seen the images you mention. That said, none of the images come close to matching what I have described. Judging from Felnik's comment and yours, symbolism does play a key role in our visions. Sometimes they're easy to comprehend and at other times the surrealistic quality is difficult to fathom.
In my response to AikyO, I mention the Hindu God, Lord Ganesha. When I considered it, it had more significance because I knew practically nothing about the Hindu faith. If anything, I have been an avid amateur Egyptologist since I was nine years old. I've even taught myself how to read hieroglyphics. So, you would expect me to see more Egyptian images. As a matter of fact, I've only seen Egyptian imagery one time and it was the Udjat eye. Actually, I saw two eyes and they represented my mind's eye and my eye's mind. My reason for being there had to do with having the two eyes face each other. Since that point, the things I see with my eyes open appeared. It's hard to dismiss this as a coincidence.

It's difficult to pinpoint the DMT experience. Without a doubt, it stands out to me as something unique, in comparison to other trips. Since we produce DMT in our body and it apparently is in our brain, I wonder if it's there to facilitate our soul leaving our body when we die. It would explain a lot and why it appears we visit other dimensions through thought alone.
Trust me, you didn't derail the thread at all. All replies are appreciated and your thoughts are welcome. Discussion is about new thoughts, after all.
Peace.
