So while doing research on our wonderful forum I've noticed that when temperatures are mentioned, they typically don't specify if they are in celsius degrees or fahrenheit degrees. While I, and I'm sure most members on here, can pretty easily discern which temp is begin referenced, would it be possible to add a "policy" of putting a C or an F after temps. I ask because I fear that, as this is an open website, someone without the proper understanding/knowledge of what they are doing could be confused and result in an unfortunate situation.

Safety first!!!

Could you link to any specific instances? It's a matter of being able to log in and edit if it's wiki content.

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

Thank you! I appreciate the kindness. I always assume C unless noted as F. Wanted to propose a standard so no one made any mistakes that could have negative consequences.

My proposal is less directed at specific wiki articles, but more so at establishing a standard. If it is stated that all temps should be listed in C (or F for some reason), it would eliminate any confusion. There are many posts that don't specify, and while not always a big deal, it could be and if we can help reduce risk, I feel as though we should. Just my 2 cents.

The problem is all them damn Yanks using Fahrenheit when nobody else in the world does while not even realising Celsius exists.
I propose we use Kelvin. This is meant to be scientific, after all Big grin

(That was a joke. Mostly. Wink)
