Light and dark are design patterns.

Dark is sexy. But why?

Dark is the mystery, thrill, and promise.

You cannot learn what you already know. You can learn only the unknown.

Flying into a star concludes in a predictable outcome. What happens to you if you jump into a black hole? Who knows.

The beauty of the dark comes from that it can swallow you in a second - and maybe it won’t. That attribute depends on demons and monsters lurking in the dark. Once the demons and monsters aren’t there, the charm of the dark ceases to exist.

The monsters aren’t beautiful. They have to hide there, at least as a possibility, only to unfold the cold beauty of the dark.

Its promise is that it doesn’t have to hurt you, even if it could.

Dark is nothing to do with disturbing or disgusting images. Such images remain the same either in light or dark.

Dark is not BDSM. A creature of the dark isn’t interested in dominating you, and will never be your slave.

Dark is neither pacts nor magic tricks. Dark doesn’t negotiate. Dark is efficient and powerful.

Dark isn’t suffering, war, starving, or pain.

Dark is the spider, the praying mantis, the frog, the snake, the dragon.

If you ever meet any of the above in your size, believe me, you won’t experience either war, pain, or suffering.

Not for long.

As soon as you embrace dark, you’ll know that the spider is freedom, creativity, caring. The praying mantis is stillness, perfection, intelligence. The frog is pure feminine sexuality and antidote. The snake is medicine and wisdom. As for the dragon - she prefers keeping her secrets.

Luciferin and luciferase are the chemicals that allow the firefly to emit light. They are named after the "Lightbringer". You find the fireflies in the dark.

Lilith is dark. She wasn’t the first wife of Adam. They were not in the same league. If you look for her, you might find her. And where is Adam now?

Dark is in which you desire to dive. Light is what brings you back alive.

In the end, they are only design patterns. The Universe finds fun in design.

Once you are ready to learn something else than you have been told to seek, once you want to send your cute little fairy spirit guide to a holiday, all you have to do is turn off the light.

Very thoughtful, thank you. Reminds me, someone once said "without the threat of death there is no reason to live at all."

You say "once you want to send your cute little fairy spirit guide to holiday" what does this part mean? Forgive my ignorance of spirits.
Insanity is past, present, and future pain.
Past pain never dies, otherwise it would not be pain.
Life is present pain.
All unknown and feared is future pain.
Is the absence of pain happiness?
And if constant pain leads to insanity; Can constant insanity destroy the pain?

I’ve never had a "spirit guide" on my trips. I only read about such things. I wasn’t introduced to angels either. No entity came to me to explain I should transcend to my so-called "Higher Self"

No entity our there asked me to join the happy hyper community.

There is not only an endless field of flowers out there.

In contrast:

Two days ago, I visited IMDB. I wanted to link a movie. On the top of the screen, there was a trailer. I could barely see what it was. I clicked on it. I pressed the full-screen button too as always.

In three seconds, I saw a freaking disgusting, disturbing, ugly thing only a brainless director would create. I don’t want to describe it in detail. I’m trying to forget it.

I can manage. But people have no idea what damage these things do. It’s poison to their minds.

There was no warning.

Mushroom is illegal. DMT is illegal. These substances showed me the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life.

But it is legal to put an awful disgusting horror movie trailer right into my face, without any warning.

I had a thread here I deleted later in which I tried to explain that I see almost only desire, pleasure, and even love in Giger’s art (paintings and statues) with minimal pain, but the Alien movies were all about pain, fear, terror, and death, and near to zero love or pleasure or fun.

"Happy hyper community" hahaha. Thank you for clarifying that a bit. I am still very confused about anything related to the word 'spirit'. Your description helped me some, I once saw a black hole, it was colorless and colorful. It is the scariest thing I can remember and yet I love that memory. Maybe that is mine.....

Was all this you wrote about on mushrooms or various substances over various trips?

I hope not to come off as confrontational, I'm only curious.
I agree there should have been a warning about the movie. However 'disgusting' is opinion, no?

I also hope I didn’t sound arrogant too much. I mean, if I met angels, I wouldn’t have sent them away. It’s they were not the entities who came.

By the way, when I write "demon-orgy", it’s not anything like hentai porn. Not at all. It’s less explicit and way more beautiful. It may sound strange but it’s even intimate.

Still, it’s not the meeting of the forest elf spirits.

You are right. Tastes are different.

Disgusting, in general, associated with visuals harmful to health. For example, rotten is considered disgusting.

No worries, it didn't seem arrogant to me but words lose so much meaning without a human voice.

I am unsure myself of ego death. I never felt it on Mushrooms, LSD or Mescaline. I'm still too scared to try DMT, which is why I'm here trying to gain strength (what a baby).

One last question and I'll stop I promise:
What about salvia? What are your expierences? That is where my black hole always finds me.

I think it’s best if you keep your ego alive. My first DMT was a NDE but that’s nothing to do with ego-death (based on what I read about it).

When I am on Salvia, I don’t know I am on it.

My sitter told me I started falling off the bed, and she had to catch me.

I did it two more times. Again, I found myself back to the "true reality", but I didn’t want to be there. I wanted to escape and hide. I hid in this reality, no matter how fake it was.

I read this book, and could relate. I tried to contact Ross without success. I learned later that he passed away. That’s sad. The book is excellent.

Anonymous2 you must have a great deal of courage.

I don't think I will approach DMT with a mindset of rejoicing in the dark but we all have our own preferences? I understand sometimes we are shown things we simply do not ask to see and we should try to understand or integrate the experience thoroughly.

I am such a grasshopper here don't mind me.

Interesting animal references.

Why a little fairy guide? Why not something bigger?

You don't think the Light has powerful allies? More powerful than demons?

I don't mean to challenge your perceptions and view of the universe I just want you to know I simply would not try what you are suggesting because it isn't in line with my intentions but it is good to see someone describing the other side of what I am drawn to.

I guess in a sense I would cry out or find a way to beckon forces in line with what I hold dear if I encountered some of what you are describing.

Call me a scared little grasshopper.

Not without knowledge of light and dark but not adept at all.

It is disturbing what media is shoved in our faces sometimes isn't it?

Also I like how you are able to find beauty in the dark. As for me, it isn't beautiful in the sense of negativity and horrifying monsters and ugly demons who want to cause lots of harm but I can remain open-minded enough to let someone tell me how it is beautiful to them.

Wait. Should I be more afraid of a beautiful demon/ess? Perhaps an ugly one cannot mislead and ultimately destroy me the way an enchantingly gorgeous one can?

Ah before I step away it dawned on me that you are almost describing yin and yang light and dark but there's definitely tones of something else in your words (at least in my interpretation of your ideas) and I can see for you you probably are not threatened by the "dark" as I am. I mean Yang style dark isn't threatening to me but I should step back now.

P.S.

I am working on articulating my thoughts more clearly/effectively and also I just want to be a positive force for others or why waste time? I guess furthering my own understanding or just making myself happy aren't bad reasons for being on a forum either unless it is at the cost of someone else's peace of mind.

Hello Trevor, Plutarchalitea,

the demons and dark creatures I meet don’t want to kill. The places we meet them are above good and evil.

There are other creatures, who indeed look scary, violent, and not so beautiful. I didn’t see them often.

The gods I meet aren’t interested in destruction but being unearthly beautiful. The society would call some of them "oversexualized". I disagree. The octopus demoness looked like how an octopus demoness supposed to look like.

The deep blue snake looked divine. (I don’t even know its gender). Anput was angry with me, and I knew, why. ( I didn’t know her until I saw her on the trip. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anput )

On the next trip, the spirits came.

At least, I call them spirits. I think they wouldn’t mind. They were tiny, deep blue and super cute. We were sitting on a roller-coaster together in hyperspace, flying up, down, in curves, and laughing.

If you have a problem with your so-called "ego" (yourself), have faith in Kali.

She will solve it.

I truly appreciate these as art forms, the building of an atmosphere.
It does not trigger fear in me personally, rather familiarity and even tranquillity.
Fail to see the art in e.g. a real rotting rabbit, maybe just because it is lacking the building of an atmosphere. But the fantasy world I can dig although would hardly hang such a painting in my house, prefer a pot with plants instead.

.

My first encounter with the style was the cover of "Bat out of Hell", I was a young puppy then and it did fear me a bit back then.

Later on, the hard rock fancying 666 and so on, I never understood it actually, always thought: why drooling over the devil, take a rip, wet your pants and humble.
Razz

.

Later in life I met Jef Bertels and visited some of his exhibitions, large paintings on canvas depicting another sinister yet soothing style, maybe not that very dark as they hold a certain factor of frivolity within them too, a balance between dark and elves perhaps. His style lends itself better as a candidate to actually hang it on my walls, not too macabre and a hint of humour.

.
