Has anyone done a rue only brew? And if so how does it compare to a caapi vine only brew? I really like the caapi vine only brew but I find it hard to source and frequently impotent so I have moved on to rue.

Rue is nice. Has a very refreshing quality for me sometimes. It makes me feel healthy.

It helps me relax very well. Takes me to a deeper place.

Take a lot and you might feel a bit of "uh oh...", off balance, tracers in the vision, visual strobing, nausea...
but oftentimes this gives way to a rather unique and thoughtful euphoria. A good intoxication as they say. (as opposed to sinful)

Once you get to know the spirit better, through repeated consumption, it gets easier to manage the physical effects.

Caveat emptor. Overdo it with rue and you likely will spend the evening hugging the toilet while you purge bile every ten minutes, long after there's nothing left in your stomach to throw up. I warn from experience.

I can add to Tony6Strings story, also from experience.

Going beyond 5g and above 10g can quickly turn into an entire day spent at the porcelain altar.

One of my less bright ideas as a younger me was to ingest 15g raw seeds. It started off really nice but the auditory hallucinations... they really got to me. Everything was distorted beyond recognition and I had an intense vertigo that almost immobilized me for a few hours. The puking then commenced for roughly 10 hours non-stop.

Can't say I'd recommend ever going above 5g although a 3-4g rue only tea can feel good if you're not mixing it with other medications that could cause adverse effects in combination with the rue.

Be safe, friend!

I ate 400 mg of Harmalas once to check if they can induce nausea just on their own at high dosages.

Answer: HELL YES

I puked the shit out, but then when my stomach was empty, it did not stop and I was puking and puking in breaks of 15 minutes, but the stomach was empty so the cramps were getting insane, as the body felt it had to convult even harder to get anything out (which obviously was impossible).Twisted Evil Stop

I could not eat / drink for 6 h until the first portion of Tea stayed in and did not came out in a nice hydro pump instantly after drinking.

I was pretty skeptical of the rue-only brew being that it has no THH, but it sounds like it's not bad as long as you don't take too much.

I'm surprised to hear about hours of vomiting. With caapi I vomit once or twice and then feel great for hours although that is not at overdose levels.

I was also thinking about taking about 2-3 g of rue to pave the way for some caapi that may be old/oxidized and less potent. That way I can still get the superior caapi experience.

For me this was only in the higher ends of dosage though. Being how I am I couldn't resist upping the dose until I one day swore to never again (you probably know how it goes) after ingesting 15g of raw seeds. It was in my more youthful days I assure you. But as soon as I came over 10g the nausea was overwhelming. Even at 4g the feeling of nausea is tangible if you try moving around.

Today, it's a mere means to an end for the yagé.

As opposed to sinful.

Thank you for that hehe.

I for one need to avoid sinful intoxication.
