So I know I've heard DMT is pretty harsh but does it make you cough a lot? I have asthma(though I am a smokerSad ) and some things, like cannabis in particular, I seem to have developed somewhat of an allergy to. I plan on trying a large hit of the mullein leaf before I try the enhanced leaf I made. I don't have anyone who can assist me and I'm slightly concerned about completely blasting off, having an attack and not being able to get my inhaler. My asthma is by no means severe but some allergens can be pretty rough on me. Any advice that doesn't contain "don't do it"? lol. One thing I may do is use my inhaler before I do it. Any asthmatics that have tried this?

DMT need not be harsh at all. In fact, that is more indicative of burnt spice because of suboptimal vaping method.
There is no need to inhale herbal combustion products, especially if you're asthmatic.

(Hint: e-mesh electronic vaporisation seems to be the way forward.)

β€œThere is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

That asthma sounds kind of scary to me. But it if you are intent on doing this; smoke it like you do your cigs...inhale relaxed, exhale through the nose relaxed; no thought. You will be scared and trembling most likley cause you cant fool yourself completley in to thinking its a cig (this is why I'm scared for your asthma, this is going to be an intense situation, very intense most likely)

After 3 tokes in this manner (and when you feel yourself leaving this world) lay the pipe down and go to sleep. Imagine its 3am and you are very tired; go to sleep. Let the "I" die so that emptiness may envelop you. Be emptiness and total stillness

Pleasant dreams.

You are in for a real big suprise. God bless you beloved.

Thanks for the advice! It is very helpful. I decided today is not the proper day to take this on. I only have so much time today and my meditation practice is severely lacking. I think I should prepare for this more in that aspect. I kind of feel like I will keep coming up with a reason for it not to be the right day lol but all I know is that if I'm distracted by time constraints and the world around me that it will probably not be the beneficial learning experience that I am seeking. I am going to wait until I have a day off work with no distractions. Thanks again!

Some people have the urge to cough as soon as they taste the smoke. If you start coughing it will be very hard to stop, and very difficult to achieve effect.

Inhaling firmly and gently and continuously, fight the urge to cough, and once you have a steady flow of vapor being inhaled the urge to cough will disappear. Also adjusting the distance of the flame will ensure you can continue the vaporization process without getting the air too hot. All you need is vapor. Don't keep the flame super close once it has melted and you see vapor...adjust the distance to the farthest possible such that you still see a constant stream of vapor.

In regards to asthma; I don't have sound medical advice. It may be highly advisable to have someone there with an inhaler if you think the repercussions could be serious.

I actually don't have a problem with the smoke/taste. I'm genuinely surprised that there is this huge meme about how harsh/bad tasting DMT smoke is. I think its pretty good and smooth tbh. I take absolutely gargantuan hits too - I never take a 3rd hit because I'm in hyperspace after the second.

That said, I do know someone that is having trouble holding in a hit because he coughs immediately, but he's an internet friend and it could be his technique or something. I dunno.

You'll find out soon xD
