Dear inhabitants of the DMT-Nexus,

I arrived last weekend, after some weeks of lurking on these forums. First of all: Thank you all for making this community possible, i really like the way you communicate in here - but not just the communication, but also the quality of the posts is really astonishing.

About Me:
I currently live in Europe (after some extensive traveling) and have almost finished my masters and prepare for my PhD (humanities).
During my early 20s i experimented with some psychoactive substances, mainly psychedelics. I haven't taken them in party settings, but almost always in a close circle of friends or in nature (around 2-3 times a year).
Personally, i liked Mushrooms very much. But the seeds of some Ipomoea species produced very interesting (and mythical) experiences as well. I have stopped taking psychedelics due to personal reasons (busy life...) some years ago (with the exception of cannabis, which i like for "psychonautic" as well as recreational reasons Smile).

Lately i decided to go back into the world of psychedelics, and therefore i wanted to learn more about ayahuasca, dmt and everything around that topic. I already talked to a lot of people which had experiences with ayahasca/dmt and i have read some papers and books about it.
Now i decided to take it to another level and register to this community to close some "gaps in my knowledge".

Thank you for your patience and have a nice day!

Welcome!

Yes, this place serves to close gaps in understanding, and it does so very well from what I've seen so far (there's so much!).

All of my psychedelic experiences have either been alone, or with a very small and close circle of friends. When you plunge into the deep end, that company becomes more than what it was, so I've always been careful to choose wisely Smile

Mushrooms are my favorite as well hah, there's a certain sense of ancestral recognition that touches my soul in ways nothing else has. Although I'll say, cactus is a very interesting thing indeed.. it has a curious way of continuing its work on you long after the trip is over.

From one newbie to another, may you find what you're looking for here. Smile

That is interesting, and welcome Smile
I love those flowers, didn't know of their hidden potential. Love to photo them when strolling.

This is a very nice picture. As soon as i get my hand on a good camera i will try to make some photos like this one.

I love these vines so much, i could sit in front of them for hours (but the same with the flowers of Brugmansia arborea and Hyoscyamus niger).
