A specifically general question about whether any of you have ever felt like a certain substance was 'remembered'? Like, if you had felt or known that substance before, some how some way, even though it was your first experience?

And only with that specific substance(s)?

It's so familiar.......
Insanity is past, present, and future pain.
Past pain never dies, otherwise it would not be pain.
Life is present pain.
All unknown and feared is future pain.
Is the absence of pain happiness?
And if constant pain leads to insanity; Can constant insanity destroy the pain?

All of them which lead to the heart of hyperspace, so DMT/Mescaline/cannabis/meditation/psilocybin/Caapi. Its a feeling and a place...its the weirdest most beautiful thing...everytime I manage to get there, to transform into that, I remember it...I have yet to discover anything as interesting or as awe inspiring...its the most shocking thing in the world. So why does it insist on these zaney motifs? And why does the soul, the deepest 'I' in me, love that place, that feeling and imagery, so much? Why out of all things is the soul attracted to that? When one sees this question through one discovers why these visions, and not other visions, why these motifs and not other motifs~~there is a reason.

What I mean is, this happened to me on DMT specifically, but the "being home" feeling, seems to me to be the breakthrough or final destination or flow state, and its a state of the mind which can be obtained through many ways or substances apparently. Now a days I have an easier time achieving this remembrance of the secret through any drug other than DMT even though its characteristic of DMT. The secret is the "I've been here before" vibe. But there is more to it...there is a reason we feel that way.
Todo lo que quiero es que me recuerdes siempre así...amándote. Mantay kuna kayadidididi~~Ayahuasca shamudididi. Silence ○ Shiva ◇ eternal Purusha.
What we have done is establish the rule of authority in silence. Silence is the administrator of the universe. In silence is the script of Natural Law, eternally guiding the destiny of everyone. The Joy of Giving See the job. Do the job. Stay out of the misery.
May this world be established with a sense of well-being and happiness. May all beings in all worlds be blessed with peace, contentment, and freedom.
This mass of stress visible in the here & now has sensuality for its reason, sensuality for its source, sensuality for its cause, the reason being simply sensuality.

Thanks for the awesome answer FranLover.

Was the feeling or remembrance or deja vu (I dont know what to call 'it' ) of the effects the same for all of the ones you listed "DMT/Mescaline/cannabis/meditation/psilocybin/Caapi"? (To try and be clear, not the physical/mental high)

Were there any others? Non-psychedelic?
Some plants seem much more familiar then others.
Is there anything that seems "foreign" or just not known? To you or anyone else

DMT really did it for me.

Caapi and mimosa powder showed me something very similar and it was totally that feeling of revisiting a previously known realm.

Cannabis can make you fall into a meditative state and in the emptiness and silence remember about the universe...thats why we look at the stars when smoking.

Mescaline had this as well but it had another taste to it, a clearer headspace.

Shrooms totally have it but different to dmt for me, its more like mescaline where the feeling of deja vu comes less from visions but from how you feel when out in nature or just breathing~~which leads to meditation.

What can I say that has not been said about the wonders of meditation.

The feeling and place is the essence of foreign and unknown. Thats why we say DMT is alien, both because of what we see and how we feel.

For me, all tryptamines, as well as LSD have that effect.

It could be that these psychedelics amplify feedbackloops in the brain. So then you literally have experienced everything a few milliseconds before. But it definately feels to go much deeper than that.

I often felt that they in a way, take you back to the "pure and unadulterated" state of mind of a newborn. I mean, i suppose the mental filtering system that psychedelics tend to disable, is probably a learned, experience-based, mechanism.

Something similar happened to Sophia, not a "memory" from another substance, but from "another place"...

It was her first psychedelic experience ever, she took Ayahuasca in a ceremonial context.

When the substance was effective, and the shaman began his icaros, she felt inconscious, and there was the Remembrance.

It was a place familiar, despite the fact it was nowhere. But she knew she came from there, she knew it was the begining, she knew it was home.

Now those feelings are unforgetable, she smile when she can feel it again (with mushrooms, LSD or changa).
