So I've tried using two of these for 100g MHRB extractions each. However the lids contain a plastic liner (which worries me) and don't screw on very well, making leaks problematic.

Does anyone have good suggestions for quality glass? Ideally around 1 gallon sized, tall, narrow, and with a metal or cork cap.

I've also seen these mason jars, but they seem too wide, which makes the pulls difficult to do.

I'd really appreciate some recommendations / links to good products. I'm willing to invest in something good if it would last a long time and be safer/easier to use.

You could use a mason jar pull what solvent you can and when you get close to the water layer dont worry about sucking up a little of the water layer just transfer it to a tall skinny glass first (like say 1 of those 3 shot shot glasses would work or 2 shot what ever) let that settle and seperate in there then pull from there to tranfer to the freeze plate. Makes it a bit easier to get as much solvent as possible

I recommend a Pyrex 2L Erlenmeyer flask:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RV4N9KX/

Thick glass, no worries about cracking due to heating and cooling, easy to handle, volumetric measurements are nice, comes with rubber stopper. I started with a 1 gallon ball mason jar and it cracked when I was heating it to break an emulsion, resulting in a spill...

I realize 2L is only about half a gallon, but do you really need a gallon?
