Hello. I don’t much know what to say here but I’d like to show my appreciation to this site and community. Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this circle to soak up and spread what I can. I hope I can be a positive influence Smile

I wish I could introduce myself better but my whole world has changed and I’m trying to figure out who I really am.
I’m 28 and a month ago I experienced dmt for the first time. I have extensive experience in several other psychedelics and various other forms of drugs but they’re rather moot now. I used similar to a marijuana dab rig to smoke between 90 and 120 mg of N,N-DMT and experienced what felt like much much more than ego death. I’m not even sure what my questions are yet but my point is I am overjoyed to have a community to explore them with.

Welcome to the Nexus!

What other psychedelics have you tried?

Are you considering doing ayahuasca/oral DMT too ?

90-120mg DMT seems like too much.... I have never tried a dab rig for DMT but with the most effective methods i've tried 30mg is more than enough, its very hard to vap more than that before you're completely gone. It might be that some of the DMT in the method you tried is being burned/wasted. In the long run I suggest you look into convection-based vaporizing methods.

Be well!

I’m very much considering every avenue from here but in a therapeutic sense. It was entirely too much I was already breaking through before I could exhale. I went into it with a mindset of suicide and self destruction. It’s extremely hard to explain the experience but I went through hell. I can try if you want but I’ll admit my words are limited. Best explanation I’ve found for who I met at the end would be blending of Cernunnos from the keltics and the lord of the dead in the seventh bardo from the Tibetan liberation through hearing. Whether it was spiritual or just mental doesn’t matter because what I brought back was why I was the way I was. Gave me hope and understanding and now I’m searching for how to be the best me for us I can.

As for psychedelics I’ve done several forms of mushrooms, mescaline, lsd, lsa, and I did do 2ce or 2ci or something once but I was a very nasty artificial trip I did not like. MDMA also if you want to put it in this category. Aside from lsa and that research chemical I’ve taken each of those to an extreme. I’m very interested in an ahyuaska treatment for a more drawn out grounded experience. I’ll probably never do lsd again but shrooms and mescaline still hold interest for me. I quit smoking cigarettes the day after my dmt breakthrough. I don’t like alcohol anymore. I still enjoy marijuana but it’s not the crutch it was and is the only drug that holds and recreational desire for me. I have a whole life story of drugs but the only experiences I’ve had comparable to what I dmt gave me would be near death ones.
Also sorry for my scattered writing I can’t type as fast as my mind is running

Hi Swarra

Welcome to the Nexus. Interesting few posts. I enjoyed reading them and feeling the edge that you seem to have moved onto after dmt.

For me a lot of the "how to take psychedelics" boils down to a very simple mind-set switch. From consuming to participating. From participating to being undivided from the experience itself. Let me elaborate:

As long as the I over here consumes a substance over there and then subsequently consumes an experience, the experience just stays something that happened, but never really touched me. It may appear profound and moving at the moment, but when it's over it's like a movie that ended. I can wipe my tears away and go on with my life. But if it's not something to be consumed, but something that I as a process go through, then every cell in my body, every pulse of energy, every thought born from the abyss, is affected and transformed. Nothing remains the same.

In truth, this is so for any experience, every minute of your life. But it's hard to see and hard to uphold. It's easier to confine this mindset to certain hours a day, practicing, to certain journeys we take, practicing...
Are you still the same person you were before you went through the process? You are and you are also not. Can you make real changes in your life through what you "learned"? Only if you actually allow yourself to change. Change is something funny. Many people talk about wanting certain changes, but actually don't realize that it means the self they know can no longer continue on existing - a new version of the self has to arise. There is nothing as fear-inducing to the self as it's own demise, and so of course naturally it resists change, quite fiercely. So, it takes quite a commitment to change. Sometimes these psychedelic processes can assist in critical moments. Sometimes they just give us glimpses of a different version of ourselves, that we still have to strive to become. Sometimes it all remains a mystery.

My main advice is to be gentle with yourself, but never falter in your determination to be fully. If you want to change your destiny, you have to change your narrative. If you want to change your narrative you have to go to the depths of the soul to find the voice, born from the void, that is telling you your story. Once you find it... make it stop. And replace it with your new narrative. Good luck Pleased

Ha ha, you introduced yourself to us just fine! No better community to meet that will let you grow and learn, and figure out just exactly who you are, within the context of barely understood (at least within our cultures) transformational experiences. And to empathise with some seriously weird stuff.

Sometimes, no matter how "experienced"we are, we are blessed with one of those experiences that forces us out of whatever groove we settled into. Welcome friend, feel around, and no need to apologise, you are very articulate, especially considering the ineffable nature of your topic!

Be good to you.Love
