Hey all, hope everyone is well! So planning my first ayahuasca experience in a few weeks, but the only concern I have is that I'm playing a competitive squash tournament a few days after. It's one of the ways I make money, albeit minimal but one of my passions nonetheless. Obviously just a tad worried it would affect my cardio, hand eye coordination, and/or reflexes. Specifically after the ceremony I will have 5 days till my first game, and I heard the pyschical effects are quite tough-purging. The reason I want to try as well is because I suffer from some severe depression, anxiety as you can probabaly tell and paranoia at times. I think it's due to my childhood, possibly traumatic but don't have great recollection. Would really appreciate any responses, have a great day all.

Hello friend,

The ayahuasca will not affect you physically in the tournament, specially 5 days later. I have done demanding physical activities a couple of days after ayahuasca and was just fine. If you have a strong demanding experience and don't recover with good food, hydration and sleep, you might be a somewhat tired the next day, but even then it doesnt always happen, sometimes you have more energy, due to the "spiritual reset" or however you wanna call it Smile 5 days later, though, no issue at all.

What kind of setting are you taking it in? Do you have someone to care for you?

Be well!

Good luck with that!

Let us know how it goes!

Remember, even though ayahuasca may help you see things, it won't solve everything magically, you still have to walk the walk in daily life, the work continues. Just make sure to try to put into action any insights and positive changes you might have thought of during the experience.

Be well!
