The material is Lespedeza bicolor RB.

I’m getting a strongly positive (pink) Ehrlich reaction on a water extract.
But common STB and Bufo-style extracts are completely negative with Ehrlich.

What other methods can I try for pulling the freebase?
Any suggestions are welcome, and I have plenty of material to play with. Thanks.

The reacting indole likely isn't an alkaloid.

Suggestion 1 - Test it with TLC
Suggestion 2 - Prepare the different extracts and post in this thread so we can get it lab tested.
