I was amazed to not find this thread already somewhere on here.
Anyway, I'm just curious, but what cactus would you say is the best to grow?
I was considering growing san pedro, but would like to see other options.
Also, does anyone know of any cacti available in stores? I can order off the internet if need be, but would of course like to find one in person if at all possible.

yes grow some torch..they can grow like a foot a year one they are big enough. Long live the unwoke.

I think I'm gunna grow san pedro and torch, since I'm probably going to be buying seeds from a site, and end up paying more for shipping than an actual pack of seeds. The method of growing is about the same for the two right? Sow, and then plant them the same way?

yes..be sure to germinate them in some sort of humidity dome though. I used a metal tray with poly covering the top..they need humidity when they are very small and not so much light that they get burned..the burn easily and dry out when they are still very young. Long live the unwoke.

Rule of thumb is 1 foot per dose, although in reality it varies a lot. I've tried Pedro before and had pretty good results but if I ever try it again I'll get Torch. Torch is supposed to be "cleaner", whereas Pedro has many other active alkaloids besides mescaline. benzyme wrote:

1 foot of my short spined torch would totally incapacitate most ppl for 14hrs min. iv seen pedro that is barely active at 1 foot. it seems with cacti - u need many thumbs. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

Big cacti tend to grow much faster then starting with smaller specimens. Its therefore a good idea to get a large specimen if possible (can't really order that over the internet though) and if its a good strain clone it.

When I grow a plant that you can get a drug from, chances are I would want one that will provide me with it as fast as possible. I was simply trying to find the most efficient cactus to grow. Are you saying it would be better for me to spend 50 dollars for a pack of seeds for a plant that rarely produces seeds that would take 3 years for a dose?

1 foot = 30cm .. 1 dose?! Wow that sounds quite different than my (single) experience.. a 2 feet cactus of 1,75kg yielded 60g resin and 10g was a very strong dose imo, comparable to maybe 2 to 300mics acid (in a different way of course, but just for sake of explanation).. So that would be at least 3 very nice doses per foot of pedro, when making resin.
