Hey everyone!

I'm in my early 20s, about to graduate college. I have been interested in psychedelics since high school. I read a lot and did LSD for the first time my freshman year of college. It was at times horrifying but on the whole positively revelatory. I've been an atheist since I was young, and those first few dances with LSD made me say "Oh so that's what they call God." It's all one! It really opened my eyes to the absurd tragic/comic predicament of being human, and that Love was the most important thing of all. Of course, many cliches were found to be true that night!

Very soon after that trip, I found Alan Watts, read a bunch of his books, moved into Terrence Mckenna, Ram Dass, Aldous Huxley, then deeper into the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Tao de Ching, the poetry of Rumi, the music of Krishna Das, I really fell down the mystical rabbit hole! I am an avid reader, I even work at my college library.

All in all, I honestly haven't done A LOT of psychedelics. I've done 2 tabs of acid three times, low dose (<4g) of mushrooms probably 4 times, and a small hit of DMT once. The DMT was scary - the people were right, very fast acting. I took one hit and it basically felt like an instant acid trip, my heart was pounding out of my chest I thought it was going to explode so I didn't take another hit. I think my downfall so far has been not taking enough (at least when it comes to mushrooms I got the feeling of being in-between normal reality and the mushroom world, ego dissolution maybe? Not quite getting "There" like that first LSD trip.

If anyone has any book or documentary recommendations, drop them! I want to know!

Thanks for reading!

Welcome! While on LSD, I had an entity contact me, identifying as God. To this day, I still identify as atheist.

I absolutely love large doses of mushrooms and psilohuasca. Those have been my best experiences. I would have to recommend just dumping a bunch of mushrooms into a pot of 175 F water, letting it steep for at least five minutes, stirring the mushrooms every now and then and then start sipping. As you can see, I don't go by weight, I go by amount. Pleased

EDIT: please excuse me, I shouldn't be saying subjective things like what is and isn't better.
