Im sure this isnt exclusive to lsd, But during my first trip i seen something that stuck out, very poignant among the surrounding activities... And that was these dots... Mind you, nothing else- during the 12 or so hours - was moving irrationally or doing anything other than being a physical feature within the house. But this strange pattern of skittle-sized dots on the living room chair started to move... Rotate - about 3 or 4 dots i dont remember... But it was not your average rotation... It was ODDLY specific. It took me years to reestablish the motivation to search up what exactly they were doing. The pattern is called, "Cascading". I believe. And its when you watch someone juggling, and they do that sortve orbital - one ball up, the other under, then the other under from the other direction. (I cant think of a good example atm) So anyway, these dots maintained this strange elliptical 'cascade', and i sat there watching it for maybe an hour; Right before the trip ended... ... And so ive just been curious The last ten years, what that was. Like, why was it so specific, that its like, even difficult to compare to something other than like juggling or something. During the moment of course it felt as if it made *TOO much sense. Like not only was it describing the activities, it described everyones molecules And atoms... It was a tad much, although it was relaxing because everything else was so cartoony and animated. These dots though were very very cool... Thoughts?

I've never seen anything like that with LSD, altough I definitely have seen many highly specific mathematical visuals that seem to be visual representations of number relations; I'm sure these are in essence similar to the visual you're describing. But I've never had one that completely occupied the trip. It seems totally bizarre to me, but I can see how it could happen. I had a trip recently where the visual theme was based on geometric mandalas (sharp edges and straight lines), which for the most part would form and then drift away to be replaced by a new one, in average acid fashion. However, there would be a few where I could recognize the mathematical relation describing the mandala, and immediately these mandalas would become more complex and begin on a kind of 'dash to infinity'; there was one I vividly recall where there was a mandala with 6-fold radial symmetry with a hexagon at the center. A side would then be added to the hexagon to make it a heptagon, and the symmetry would follow, becoming 7-fold. Then the heptagon became an octagon, and so on. As soon as I recognized that this was what was happening, the speed at which sides were added increased, and the central shape began to look closer and closer to a circle. This seemed to be some kind of rush toward infinite detail or something like that, and it was accompanied by a sudden burst of intensity and a feeling of deep understanding. Not really sure was this meant at all, but it was certainly fascinating. But still, nothing close to what you described, that is weird

O wow.thats pretty crazy.... I knew some people who described to me some crazy math hieroglyphs they saw, but i didnt understand It at the time. But yeah thats actually crazy, seeing fold symmetry as you describe.... Like, how i would register all that is to pair it with math, and get an understanding through the context of the current or rudimentary math methods there of... Just to see where its multi-relevance position sits... But yeah, i wish i seen that, cause i couldve used knowledge Of geometry and fold symmetry. Like im just getting into that but it took it time for my adult ADHD to *function right.

Have you seen this web page ?I've had similar experiences to yours but my visuals weren't of colored balls but was instead a person walking through a doorway that was also someones mouth. It was in a cascading rhythm as you describe but I was viewing it as a recursion. Hyperbolic geometry is also very familiar to people who take psychedelics..

I definitely think this is the way to interpret it, and this is what I've done as well. Although I find it really difficult to observe and analyze the visuals when I'm in the thick of the trip, and usually I'm only able to understand the general idea and remember only what was at the center of the visual; the peripherals usually escape me. Maybe it's just a matter of practice though, I'm not too sure.

Very interesting. i will go thru the webpage nd see. I like how it broke it down into 8a and 8b. titus wrote:avidya wrote:O wow.thats pretty crazy.... It was very physical, very different from my lsd experience. I wouldnt even compare- as its like 2 different chapters.., being that my exp on one was like So heavily heady, and the other so heavily, body-like.
