I have 10g of 30x Caapi extract, which I am hoping to use to treat my depression.
What dose would you recommend? How should I best take it?

Sorry to hear about depression, I hope you or whoever is affected finds the chance to learn before approaching harmalas at least a few key things about this substance.

Some minimum requirements for this thread, and good starting points:

https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...d_constructive_drug_talk (be careful when asking for medical advice! a doctor's opinion cannot compare to forum advice)

It could be perceived by you as a treatment for depression or a symptom management aid, effective or ineffective, what is important is reducing harm or making things worse.

For this, look at the interactions table https://wiki.dmt-nexus.m...ctions_and_their_effects and AVOID interfering with prescribed medications or doctor's advice.

The ROI depends on the form the extract is in: freebase or salt (the type of salt I know is HCl covalently bound to a harmine or harmaline molecule, as seen in the harmala purification guides on the Nexus Wiki). I can only vouch for the HCl extract (salt), ingested orally, because it's the only one I tried, but I have read reports of smoking freebase.

Beware of excess dosage because side effects as extrme ataxia, vomiting, nausea can appear.

Try learning more about what "30x" means in your particular case, how accurate this rating is, apply the mathematical conversions knowing that harmala seeds can contain up to 6.5% harmala content by weight. I'd be at least somewhat skeptical of the 30x rating, but it sounds very potent.

The links and the wiki are good starting points, and try searching for threads or asking for threads in chat or filtering by experienced users or moderators.

Good luck and happy learning Smile

Everything muladharma said is good advice and I leaned from it to so thanks for posting.

SWIM has been experimenting with DMT for a little while now to offset depression symptoms. His are more situational than chronic. In doing so he has also experimented with smoking caapi leaf and extract (30xs like yours, whatever that means) with and without DMT (changa).

Based on his experience I would recommend first understanding the safety and other cautions urged above. Once you feel comfortable just start with smoking a little caapi leaf and see how your system reacts to it. If extract is your only option just be sure to start very slow and let your body have a moment to react to it before dosing yourself significantly. For him there is some stomach discomfort that goes away pretty quick if he starts slow. If he does too much to quick he has almost tossed his cookies.

He has found just caapi to be calming overall but wouldn't want to do it too often because of other symptoms. Everyone is a little different. Think SWIM is very sensitive to caapi.
