Edit, added .5 to 2nd choice to even out numbers.
So i've been trying to find out which depth is better and have been getting mixed responses.
1.5 inch depth, 9 inch, by 10 inch.
OR
3 inch depth, 8 inch, by 5.5 inch?
Both have the same volume but much different surface area. One has 90 square inches, and one has 40 square inches.
It seems that 1.5, how it is shallow, would be a strong enough cake to hold some big boomers, and of course would have a better yield at first. It would colonize faster than the 3 inch depth, but it would not have as many flushes as the 3 inch depth would put out. So, technically, in theory they SHOULD harvest the same amount. So which one is better then. Some have said that cubes with sub that is less than 2.5 don't fruit as well, but does anyone know why this is? I don't know, interested in feed back.

"We live together, we act on, and react to, one another; but always and in all circumstances we are by ourselves. The martyrs go hand in hand into the arena; they are crucified alone. Embraced, the lovers desperately try to fuse their insulated ecstasies into a single self-transcendence; in vain. By its very nature every embodied spirit is doomed to suffer and enjoy in solitude. Sensations, feelings, insights, fancies — all these are private and, except through symbols and at second hand, incommunicable. We can pool information about experiences, but never the experiences themselves. From family to nation, every human group is a society of island universes."
