First I prepared everything as though I was making a tea: I removed skin and most of the inner white flesh. I then put the green flesh in a blender very briefly and then boiled multiple times in acid water. I don't remember if I froze it in between boils. After 10+ hours of boiling with the lid on (Teflon pot), I took the lid off and let the water evaporate at a temp just under a boil. After it was reduced to about 1 cup I made sure to scrape anything that was sticking to the sides or bottom and dissolve it in the tea. I then took this ~ 1 cup and put it in the oven in a coffee mug for multiple hrs at 170-180 F. What is left is around 1/4" thick, which is mostly a green bottom layer and a thinner brown top layer.
