Terrence McKenna said he always heard the sound of cellophane crackling. I've heard people describe a screeching sound. My one experience which I assume was a breakthrough had a sound like a machine rapidly "spinning down". I'm curious what sounds people hear at breakthrough.

I hear an unidentifiable tone rapidly changing volume and pitch, until it reaches a very loud and very high-pitched tone just a second before contact with hyperspace. I rarely hear anything after that, I rather "feel" sounds, music and even speech, not really hearing it. If that makes any sense...

I hear the same thing that I hear at night when everything is really really quiet. Kind of a ringing in the ear if you will. We're the new hippies, we get high on life, not drugs. We thrive in drama, and bathe in activeness. Fashion is a religion and vocabulary defines you.
Politicians load the gun, and celebrities fire it, killing all humankind.

When I first heard it, it was a high pitch screech...but it seems that lately I hear a whoooosh..and I'm gone. On my back and tumbling Down that hole and back again Rising up And wiping the webs and the dew from my withered eye.

When I was new to the spirit molecule, upon smoking a good dose I would hear the crackling of cellophane and a high pitch whine upon launch just as McKenna describes. As an experienced user I don't hear that anymore. Its all more visual now. I'll now see a bluish scrambled pattern as I launch, and after that it gets all hard to describe. All mostly visual and not much auditory. As a sidenote I seem to remember the LSD I did in the late 60's as as being more auditory at times than the more current spice experiences. Peace
