If you happen to decide that evaporating large amounts of hydrocarbon solvents is not something you'd rather avoid, there are numerous workarounds for those who only have access to a refrigerator instead of a decent freezer.
One approach would be to use minimal recoverable amounts of warm naphtha on warm base soup, followed by slow cooling in the fridge to see if anything precipitates. After syphoning the naphtha into a fresh container away from any crystals that may have formed, any remaining alkaloid in the naphtha can be extracted into dilute acetic acid (white vinegar).
After evaporating the vinegar down to what is - hopefully - a gummy DMT acetate residue, this can be mixed into a paste with sodium carbonate and a drop or two of water, allowed to dry out once more, and pulled with acetone or isopropanol. On evaporating the solvent you will be left with gooey freebase DMT.
Or, you could simply wait until you have access to a freezer. The typical living situation for people without freezers (I'm thinking communal dorm-room or similar) is not necessarily conducive to safe extracting and experiential experimentation.
Take care.
“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
