I am still gathering material I need a jar what type should it be and what are the chances of blowing up during a extraction.how do I prevent the glass from breaking or blowing up in my face. if you're going to use jars, which is not really the ideal extraction vessel, then use 1 L mason jars or an old pickle jar with HDPE film underneath the lid I will be doing my first extraction. I will use
1. 300 ml deionzide water better to have a few liters on hand
2. 6 g of sodium hydroxide I actually agree, this is about the amount of sodium hydroxide that you'll likely need, but when you're using the minimal amounts of NaOH, it's wise to have a means of checking pH
3. 30g of MHRB seems fine
4. V&mp Naptha seems fine
Also would a plastic heat resistant poultry baster be okay to use.no, use a glass Turkey baster, or glass pipette I am also planning on leaving the MHRB in water and sodium hydroxide for 5 to 6 days would that be a good idea? it wouldn't be a bad idea. The longer it sits, the better chance more cells are lysed. If you could help me out so I can make my extraction safely that would be great. I am doing all this in my basement and it’s very chilly. How cold? You'll hear a variety of opinions about this, but I do all the work, post adding the NaOH, at room temp. Our house is about 22°C.

As pete said, check out the STB section, pick a tek, and follow the instructions as they are provided. A lot of people like Cyb's Max Ion tek. If you do look at most teks, you'll likely notice that the mass of NaOH used is somewhat fixed to 50 g. I, personally, see no need for that much NaOH, though I do things a little differently than some folks. The extraction is pH dependent. Not a bad idea to have additional NaOH on hand in the event that you need more.
You don't mention a volume of naphtha. What size pull are you performing? There are different theories of thought, here, as well. I like one or two pulls using a larger volume per pull. Other people like multiple small pulls, and then combining them. Some people pull with heat. I think heat is fine, but can cause unwanted oils/fats to appear in the final extracted material.
Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.
