Does anyone have a productive way of using the fan leaves (other than composting)? If all goes well, I will be harvesting in a week or two. I don't want throw away bits of the plant that are not widely used and then regret it later.

they smoke well mixed into a joint instead of tobacco or other herbs. Until we are all free, we are none of us free. Emma Lazarus

Fan leaf works fine in many tabletop vaporizers (HerbalAire, HotBox, etc.). The good thing is that you don't even have to worry much about curing it before consumption, just get it dry.
Of course, if you have a good quantity of leaf, consider ice-hash. It's a natural, fun way to make concentrate.

Have used sugar leaves for oils, but mostly edibles; personal preference.
Most of the time just use fans and sugars altogether for edibles.
Have used strictly fans before and actually produced a nice light cerebral high with a moderate bodyhigh; the bodyhigh was real nice.

I'll make a tea out of them and feed it back to the plants. They love it!

Oh yes, edibles. You can get INCREDIBLY stoned from just these leaves. And it's a very pleasant sort of high you get from it as well.

Hi antares! Hmm non sugar fan leaves (you mean there is no trichomes, did you checked with microscope? you can use jewelers loupe) A good use of fan leaves normally is making ice water hash or using them for cooking but i recommend using them for that purpose if you have a lot of them 100+ grams (in theory 100g of good quality fan leaves will yield 10g nice hash), but since you are saying (in the title) non sugar fan leaves (sugar is slang name for trichomes) i suggest you dry them and use them for: making tea, tobacco substitue in joints, composting or compost tea (if they are green and healthy looking that might be great compost tea rich in nitrogen and it will be great carbon source, very good for organic farming. Good Luck
