Not sure which solvent to use - UK Options

Hi,

I'm following GordoTek and in his guide he use Naphtha / Heptane.

Living in the UK make it difficult to find any of these.

My search around the forum and google yield this:
Ronsonol / Swan / Zippo
Heptane
Fiddes Naptha Thinners

I much prefer to buy directly from store then order online.
So Ronsonol seems like the only option but thats mean I'll have to buy them from a few places which is a pain.
Also, since it's not cover by Gordo tek guid, I'm not sure how to use it.

Please let me know which option might be the best for me and suggest any other option which I didn't include.

Thanks.

Edit:
I'm looking into other paint thinners but not sure how to tell if they are light naphtha

I think you should find some petroleum ether, you should have it there. Go for the best known purity (from chem supplier?). It is much better to spend pound or two more and be sure it won't do you any harm.
Acceptance of the fact that our reality is not real doesn't in fact mean it is not real. It just leads to better understanding what real means.

Artists' supply stores stock low odour white spirit. Photography supplies stock film cleaning fluid (if they still exist). Motoring supplies stock panel wipe fluid.

These are all fairly pure (as in, clean-evaporating) liquid hydrocarbons of varying boiling range.

There is always a way but you must do your research!

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."

from the links you posted i would go with "n-Heptane 99%"
it is even sold by a chemical supplyer

if you order it from their on website it is way cheaper:
https://apcpure.com/product/heptane_99_5_acs

they have a list of solvents to choose from

What I'm really trying to understand is what to look for when looking for an extracting solvent.

How would I know if it's even worth buying for the evap test?
Should I look for something that contains hydrocarbons?
What's the ideal boiling point?
How to know if it's heavy naphtha or not?
etc etc
